The Turing Universe - An Exploration

Abstract

This article outlines a campaign which is planned to emulate the universe in a computer. My hypothesis is that the universe is an enormous information processing system. My aim is to explore a Turing mahcine model of the universe to determine whether it has states which may correspond to the particles observed by physicists. This is to be done via a software system written in the language C, which is readily transportable. Readers may therefore duplicate the software on their own machines and continue this exploration.
