Quantum field theory studies the births and deaths of fundamental particles, theology . . . the births and deaths of people and symmetry with respect to complexity explains their common features.

The hard work is articulating your thoughts, whether you be a vacuum, a writer or a construction worker [ie occupy a complete space, a group].

Wireless channels are designated by base frequency and the information carried by amplitude or frequency modulation.

Unity — consistency: logically deduced from a consistent set of axioms leadinf (if complex enough) to undertainty and incomputability which are simply result of limited variety of the letters with respect to the words. The structure of a frame.

Dynamics is the dual of stationarity (fixedness) [one is the source of the other, a bootstrap].

Consistency is achieved by selecting out the inconsistencies, ie by selecting the consistencies, which are not logically discernible (NP) but can be shown retrospectively to exist (P). P = NP problem - Wikipedia

. . . On Monotheism and religious conflict.

Some respond to the problems raised by the variety of theologies and religion [by] embracing atheism and secularism. The approach here is to develop a new monotheism founded on the unity of the Universe, ie a scientific theology.

We all worship flawed, rather than false, Gods, and once we correct the diverse spectrum of conflicts induced by these flaws, we have the mono-theology we need to survive as an integrated subsystem of our planet.

Only a fraction of the bandwidth of our central nervous system is

[page 105]

projected onto the screen of our consciousness, so we can only guess at the processes that lead to our thoughts and feelings.

Drugs like all other events move us away from equilibrium and lead to the generation of structure ie fixed responses, as modelled by the quantum mechanics of a potential well. [conservation of energy may imply that every message received must be accompanied by a message transmitted, an acknowledgement]

The dynamic relation modelled by the rational and irrational numbers is rendered recursive by Cantor's theorem which sets up a chain each of whose links is a transition from rational to irrationaal, ie an increase in entropy.

A fire in an airtight box must go out, as must one with unlimited air and limited fuel.

We need an emergency service for every error.

The pacification of America: rational or irrational approach. Law cannot correct the problem, only the spirit of the law can do it.

to escape. An old religion is a prison, and the only way for our religions not to become prisons is to allow them to evolve with the times. Reality and people are more important than ancient doctrine.

Prigogine page 44: Prigogine

POLITICAL MOMENTUM = ESTABLISHMENT

Wherever we look we have an establishment and an evolving edge, often in conflict with one another, Person based, not doctrine based — human rights and religion.

Its no longer for the Pope to tell us what to do; it is for us to tell the pope what to do. All the old religions must become reasonable and responsible world citizens, engaged in fair trade in both matter and spirit.

Prigogine page 44: '. . . seing the world from the outside is not the object of physics. Rather it is to describe the physical world as it appears to us, who belong to it, through our measurements [experiences]. In the line of thought inaugurated by the theory if relativity and followed by quantum mechanics, it is a basic objective of theoretical physics to make explicit the general limitations introduced by the measurement [communication] process.

page 45: 'We were prepared to see now theoretical structures arise as a result of discoveries in the field of elementary particles or as a result of new insights into the evolution of the universe, but that for the concept of thermodynamic irreversibility, which has bee with us for one hundred fifty years, should force us to invent new theoretical structures is most surprising.

It is because it deals with information processing in

[page 107]

a continuous network of discrete particles which is a feature of all macroscopic objects, since the world is built of stoms (free particles).

My main fear in all this is that i am not a person of substance to be trusted but a scammer, a con-person making a living by pretending to be something he is not. After such a long time on the same course, it is not a very serious fear., I think the product is worth testing. Maybe a sort of by-product of widespread [scepticism] of my theological aspirations.

God and the measurement problem. We see quantum mechanics as a basic mechanism for describing the nature and frequency of traffic on the likes od the universal communication network.

Religions are often inclined to claim exclusive access to the truth, and to hae the power to compel belief by punishing unbelievers. The paradigm for this approach is the Roman Catholic Church. I was brought up in the Church and know it well. It wears the black hat on this story It has clearly demonstrated is moral bankruptcy in the global child molestation affair, and its scientific credibility is no better.

'. . . complementarity: the world is richer than it is possible to express in any single language. . . . We mut call upon numerous descriptions, irreducible to one another but connected to one another by precise rules of translation (technically called transformations).

**Eigenvalues of Hermitean operators are real.

In the paper based world of bureaucrats everything is Platonic, without energy, mass or momentum, just pure action? This is the linear world of quantum mechanics, and we seek the mechanism by which the Platonic becomes physical, lust, potential.

The complex numbers work so well in physics because they are a continuous (unlimited number) approximation to the discrete stepwise and cyclic processes that constitute computation when we ignore the meaning of these steps conferred on them by higher layers of the universal system.

Symmetry with respect to complexity means symmetry with respect to meaning.

I have come to a halt on the effectiveness of mathematics paper, but don't know why. I will only be able to see the block clearly [when]I am past it, but the fact that I am reading Prigogine means that I am in the being / becoming space. The network paradigm suggests that being is becoming, that is the emission an reception of state changing messages.

Progogine page 81: '. . . non-equilibrium may be a source of order,' ie of low entropy, completely consistent with the idea that maximum entropy corresponds to equilibrium, ie the state where all relevant events are equiprobable.

All the remarkable properties we attribute to God are part

[page 110]

of the Universe, lying behind the observable interface which for each of us is our experience of God and life. The fixed points that we see are duals of the divine dynamics, ie motion and stillness are relative: I am still in myself and the world flows by, and the same is true for every particles at rest in its inertial frame but being accelerated by forceful interactions with other particles, the most general being gravitation, the universal force which can exist in a world of complete simplicity. Can we imitate a graviton with a structure of photons?

Prigogine talks in probabilities, but we would like to understand the digital /logical processes that give rise to these probabilities — the transmission of 'meaningless' messages, ie a channel with gauge freedom transmits all sequences of symbols with equal fidelity, not bleeping out unacceptable subsets of the potential string.

Probabilistic determinism, like the sharpness of the Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution in a large sampel of gas.

Secularism/monotheism. The new religion that has slowly developed since the Middle Ages in the west is secularism. The defining feature of secularism (which I prefer to call natural religion) is its universality. Typical products of secularism are human rights, [equal justice for all], democracy and evidence based policy. How does this relate to monotheism? An unspoken assumption of secularism is that God is the way things are are, and we must deal with the way things are, that is directly with God. Implicit in this approach is the assumption that God and the Universe are one, so theology becomes a proper evidence based science like all the rest. Furthermore, God and the Universe ar One. The old religions are often based on old men dreaming dreams with little input from reality. Thinks everyone thinks differently, these religions are highly diverse and often in conflict. The unity of the Universe, reflected in human affairs through science, induced unity in the human population so many people are free to go almost anywhere in the [physical or spiritual] world without risk. Many, however, are still trapped in old religions awaiting the advent of a community in which there rights are not suppressed by a religious elite.

A spirit (higher layer) can only exist as long as it can get the resources necesary for its existence (eg food) from a lower layers. The transfinite computer network is a Platonic structure whose fundamental dimensions seem to be the theories of Cantor, Gö, Turing and Shannon (and Priogogine?) [and Brouwer et al] , which place boundaries on what is deterministically possible, ie an error free implementation and the indeterminate (infinite) side of life like gambling where the outcomes cannot be predicted by instance, only by statistics.

[page 112]

This axiom is the foundation for spiritual conflict, but also of fair trade. The conflict approach assumes a zero or negative sum game where I get more stuff by taking it from you and probably trashing your place in the process. Or, by intelligence, product development and trade we can increase the material foundation so more spirits can exist, as we have done by multiplying our population by millions since our early days and consuming tens of times more in the process, all made possible by diverting the world's resources to ourselves (and trashing our place in the process).

The day includes the night (not-day). So we have to be careful with the meaning of our words: the day is the sunny part of the day, the night when the sun has gone.

Romance is a bitter sweet state. Why is this so? An interplay of potential and structure Potential is bitter longing, structure is sweet enjoyment, the gulf between not-being but possible (potential) to being (actual). The Scholastics talked about the potential of matter, we talk about the communication and permutation of processes.

It is a pretty safe bet that we will not have world peace until we all worhsip the same God. They key to peace, in other words, is very probably monotheism. We have already seen this on the local scale. All Christians worship pretty much the same God, and

[page 113]

to a pretty fair degree they all get along with one another, in principle if not always in practice. We see the same in the Muslim world with the usual fault lines where different theologies have different ideas about what God has said.

So how do we get to monotheism? We notice forst of all that the old religions are pretty arbitrary. They are fictions dreamed up (predominantly) by old men, prophets and other great souls who have painted a picture of human existence which has attracted millions of followers. Because they are arbitrary, they are diverse and here is where the trouble lines.

I was brought up in the Catholic Church so it serves as my ?? and personal example of a defective ancient religion. There are two fundamental problems with ir.First, it separates God and the Universe, and second, it thinks that real reality is static and eternal,as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be. Amen. End of story. It is wrong on both thee counts: a) God is not other than the Universe, they are the same. Second God and the Universe are both pure dynamism (actus purus) in the traditional language). The only thing that is eternal is change.

Once we identify God with the Universe, theology can become a real science like all the others. Evidence based. For if the Universe is divine all our experience is experience of God and so food for theology.

Impedimenta: ideas and embodies ideas = institutions. Fixed points are things that are said over and over again, songs. Writer — songwriter.

Transcendental blindness: one can ignore the world for a book written by a old of old fogglies, relevant to their time but history now,

Science is the procedure of selecting out the real from all the imagined possibilities. Our test for the real is evidence, a record of what actually happened, not what we wanted to happen or thought should have happened. We have been led astray by the Hollywood side of our imagination [since motion picture technology can make impossibilities seem real].

A vagina? I don't need one. Plenty of other people have got them.

Why must we worship the same God to have peace? Peace is a matter of communication, and communication is a matter of coding. If the world is to be one we need to share the same code and the natural choice is the code that the Universe is written in which has brought us into being, vastly complex processes capable of reproduction. We are physically embodies layered software, layered networks whose ultimate physical layers is he initial singularity, ie God.

For an imperialist the most dangerous idea is that the world is determined locally, since this undermines the whole imperialist idea od global rule.

The vow of poverty does not mean real poverty. Us monks had all we could eat, heating, shelter, travel, a proper middle class existence. Narcissism.

'The market' couples a deterministic monetary system which essentially obeys the rule sof arithmetic to indeterministic human desires and valuations that place monetary (or equivalent in kind) values on the goods beng traded. Although economists and others try to compute rational prices for goods, recent research on human economic perceptions suggests that there is more in lay that pure rationalism. This complexity derives from our long evolutionary and cultural history.

It isnot the case that the world cannot create itself. We can understand this in classical terms by assuming that the Universe (= God) is pure activity and that the structure of the world rather than being created out of nothing is created out of God. Our more or less durable structures are fixed points in the divine dynamism. This point is consistent with modern physics.Physicists imagine the source of the Universe as the vacuum, a region of ceaseless activity which we might identify with God. Fundamental particles and the structures created from them appear as fluctuations in this vacuum. We make this modelmore explicit with quantum field theory which is in turn explained using a transfinite computer network. This explanation is based on the idea that quantum mechanics is a generic algorithm for computing the nature and frequency of the traffic on the universal network.

[page 116]

These ideas flash by so quickly, created and annihilated in my consciousness before I can catch some of te and write them down. Probably not surprising. I have about two square metres of surface interfacing with the world with billions of transducers in it bringing in information about my environment that must be dealt with. My principal task is fulfilling my personal, family and social obligations while maximizing the time an energy I put into this project., which is slowly transferring itself from a personal to a social need.

The wave equation ∂ψ / ∂t = Hψ has no obsevable effect since its solution ψ(t) = exp(-iHt)ψ . . . interpreted by the Born rule, has an invariant probability of 1, corresponding to the constancy of the measure of energy through time.

One thing we enjoy is skin to skin contact, a pleasure that the Church converted in my mind to a sinful activity, sensuality, bad because 'not subject to reason'.

Prigogine page 58 (again): 'Time evolution corresponds merely to a change of coordinates' (which changes the relative weights of the vectors used to encode the Hamiltonian).

Faith, hope and charity. Investment is based on hope for profit based on faith in the business plant inviting investment, ie the prospectus. Where does charity come in? Does it have any place in rational economic behaviour? Perhaps it operates at a higher layer,in the distribution of wealth from profit to consumers and consumption, ie it is charity that underlies the fairness of trade and the positive feedback that maximizes entropy by removing error, ie controlling the business business.

Haarets Editorial 26/7/13: State imposed religion disfigures Israelite democracy. Haaretz Editorial

A feature of Israelite journalism is its critique of the interface between fundamentalist religion and modern democracy as the state itself is heavily stressed (and consequently strained) by the tension between these two contradictory positions: rule by a state-owned God, and tule of the people by the people.

Haaretz loc cit: 'The religious establishment shares Deputy Religious Services Minister Eli Ben Dahan's way of thinking: "Individual rights are destructive".

Peace requires cooperative communication, which means in quantum mechanical terms sharing a basis. The basis of all human activity is theology, so we need to create an agreed theology, something that can be done by analogy

[page 118]

with the world that created us.

My mission is to return theology to the human commons by liberating it from the Church that has stolen it and developed and used it for the blatant political purpose of establishing an eternal infallible elite that claims to rule all people by divine right.

As physicists have found, because the Universe is a network it is very hard to observe a pure isolated system that is i communication with nothing but the observer. As the field theoretical method of Feynman diagrams illustrates, each event is influences by 'orders' of events around it, just as we see in the macroscopic world where my life is heavily influenced by local events and less to by events further away, that is communicating less frequently. Communication rate can be used as a metric. In electrodynamics successive order of communication are reduced in influence in a ratio measured by the fine structure constant.
