Physical models are fictions, but they are fictions made plausible by the way they track measurements.
The stabilizing element in society is in one sense primitive simplicity, ie the dynamic symmetries common to all systems, no matter how small.
The peace theorem deals with the relationship of entropy and order. Ordering is necessary to obtain the exponential growth in entropy associated with permutation. This is similar to the idea of ordering used to increase the size of spaces and protect against error in Shannon's theorems. Pierce.
We cannot be too harsh on the Roman Catholic Church for in survival terms the power of unity sometimes displaces the power of truth, and there are many features that the catholic community enjoy, such as the very feeling of unity and strength. Of course, I was thrown out of this cozy community and my cozy role within it because I could not toe the line, but without that feature of my life I might not have taken the hard but rewarding path that I have followed.
