Back to Jauch 1968 after all these years and the propositional model of observables via yes/no experiments. Jauch This, he says, gives us kinematic models of both classical and quantum physics and gives us a way both to distinguish between these two approaches and shows quantum mechanics as an extension, rather than a contradiction of classical mechanics.
[page 155]
Need a careful study of Jauch as a bridge from physics to metaphysics via logic a la Russell.
Skill is induced by danger.
These ideas continue the process of removing humanity from the centre stage while increasing the glory of the Universe by revealing that even its simplest elements are just as intelligent as we are in their ability to diagonals infinite matrices.
'Magnitude' is not an essential feature of number but simply order and identity. Numbers can be used to model magnitude by choosing a unit of magnitude and letting it correspond to one, and so on. The pure mathematical correspondence between number and magnitude is between number and entropy.

Since growth is inherently exponential there is exponential benefit to be had both by nipping undesirable growths off as soon as possible and by promoting beneficial growths as soon as possible. Time, in other words, is of exponential essence.

The real; world is only an infinitesimally small fraction of 'what stands to reason'.
We may surmise that the impact of its hardware and software environment on a peer group is infinitesimal (measure zero) relative to the peer group. In other words I, as a peer group,

see a negligible amount of the process that makes me tick, as also I see a negligible amount of the more complex processes within which I am a subroutine.
Mind is a permutator with an 'insight' detector. Like a move in chess, an insight is a move that may lead closer to the goal. That this is so must be tested first abstractly in planning and then concretely after the move is made.
