Power is a function of organizing ability, that is to get people to act according to the expressed mind of the organizer. Perhaps the fundamental social form of social organization is justified by its promoters by a promise of wealth, either by plunder and enslavement or by legitimate profit derived from the grace of the Universe. One can see from earliest times the philosophical alternative to fear of death, that is love of life promoted by the perception that if we all work together we can have a better life, ie more pleasure and satisfaction and less pain and loss.
[page 4]
I am pitching to CIFAR [Canadian Institute for Advanced Research] on the proposal . . . that we explore the hypothesis that God and the Universe are identical rather than the very common traditional view that they are separate and our channel to communication with God is controlled by the Papacy and its peers rather than being every experience of our lives as parts of God. The pitch is necessarily scientifc and political, for its is through politics (public and private) that we raise the funding for science, that is convert it into another job in a large industry.
There are a number of science / theology dialogues going on that place them on an equal epistemological footing as though scriptures that are thousands of years old have equal or greater weight than contemporary scientific observation on (for instance) the abilities of women relative to men.
Paul VI said women cannot be priests because the Church has no mandate for this. In fact, it is the Church that has got to go, not the women, if it cannot tolerate equality. Paul VI: Franjo Cardinal Seper
We get to imagined destinations (like the Great South Land or a cancer free world) by developing a practical path, that is a set of embodies algorithms, from here to there.
Politics is for us the process of creation, operation and annihilation of human communities. Aristotle noted that we are political animals because we cannot live well except in communities. Aristotle
[page 5]
We model a community as a network of political communication between different agents in the community (which may also be governments, churches, corporations and other specified communities), starting with the family the basic reproductive community that maintains the existence of our species in the face of individual death.

Montesquieu: A sexy heaven, pp 238-244. Rather different from the Aquinas version of beatitudo. Both are partly false, as we can see from life, which is partly heaven and partly hell and the only life we lead. de Montesquieu
The scales of Justice = symmetry
Designing a heaven for humans.
Montesquieu page 245: The financial crisis.
page 248: 'However, I do not al all disapproves of those who refuse to believe in the power attributed to certain words [Hoc est . . . ]. It is indeed more difficult for us to answer their reasoning, than for them to answer our experiences. . . . The extraordinary thing is that those who exhaust their reason in establishing connection between certain events and occult powers make no less an effort to prevent themselves from seeing the real cause.'
The blog is the transcript of a paper log, plog.
An error is a discrepancy of two things that should be formally identical, ie symmetrical, but are not, something creative has happened, a symmetry has been broken [formally identical but numerically different = broken spatial symmetry].
[page 6]
These pages of personal data will never change, they are invariance of history. The synthesis pages, trying to produce a unified account of a heap of little insights, are open to continual revision. What can change in the blog version of the plog is the referencing [and added comment, like this], which will help to bind the blog to development (Development)

Network: a set of serial and parallel processors [a processor is inherently serial, but they may be connected in parallel].
Athletic sports are largely a matter of pain and endurance, sensual sports of pleasure and insight. This is a segment of the spectrum from war to love.
I am happy to play sport from irrational exuberance, but drop out when pain and discipline show themselves. I am too pragmatic to sacrifice my life to my art, even this one, the art of cooking up a new theology, And, in the long run, I want it to pay, ie to attract grant money. CIFAR and ARTF have set me thinking that there is possible light on the horizon. CIFAR , ARTF

Feferman's Tarski pp 82-83: ' "Of special interest to me was his emphasis that certain concepts used in logical investigations, eg the consistency of axioms, the provability of a theorem in a deductive system, and the like, are to be expressed not in the language of the axions (later called the object language) but in the metamathematical language (later called the metalanguage) . . .
[page 7]
My talks with Tarski were fruitful for my further studies of the problems of speaking about language, a problem which I had often discussed, especially with Gödel." ' Since all that we observe is a communication (linguistic) process, even physics is a metalanguage about the language of physically embedded information. Feferman

Fefermans page 109: 'Tarski formulated a very precise version of what he took to be the correspondence theory of truth. Although it applies only to certain relatively narrow and strictly regimented languages, this theory has been recognised as one of the most important examples of conceptual analysis in twentieth century logic.' Alfred Tarski
Tarski, Hackett, Papers 1923-1928 Tarski
page 112: Tarski: ' "In everyday language it seems impossible to define the notion of truth or even use this notion in a consistent manner and in agreement with the laws of logic." '
Free variable = symmetry eg x can be any number, any sentence, any thing, ie it is fixed by giving it a meaning (correspondence) ie semantic.
page 117: 'Defnition 5: A sentence S is true if an only if every assignment satistifies S' ie true = tautology?
Tarski 1944: 'The semantic conception of truth and the foundations of semantics.' What we can say to all this is that it is the dynamics that establishes the existence and logical connnection of the fixed points in the Universe.
We understand (compute) the dynamics by identifying the fixed
[page 8]
points and algorithms that connect them.
To understand is to know how to produce the dynamics from the fixed points: both contain the same amount of information / entropy, the invariant metric of the intelligent Universe.
A consistent story grains credibility as it unites more apparently inconsistent observations into a consistent system.
Consciousness: the metacommunication in metalanguage of ones normal body operations, predominantly unconscious, ie unexceptional = unbroken symmetry.
Letter of the law — fixed points; spirit of the law — dynamics.
