Show us the way to go (become) home.

The fundamental error (lie?) in Christianity is that our real home is elsewhere even though we have spent four billion ears and more adapting to this one.

Can I do it? The product appears sound and the means of propagation are here so it is just a matter of packaging the ideas attractively and setting them afloat on the sea. It is a worthwhile project and has turned out to be my life's work because i was fated to move from small country town at the end of the world into a sophisticated global organization that has succeded in ruling (ie oppressing) a significant proportion of the human world for a few thousand years.

A balance between creation and publication (marketing).

[page 94]

Nicolis is concerned with the coupling between random motions of an infinite (countable) number of particles with non-linear chemical interactions that lead to cooperative action. This happens by communication at all levels from the fundamental particles to people and nations (in the human world).

What is the most efficient way to proceed? By the publication of a peer reviewed article in the scientific press. This has to be the foundation of any propaganda a trustworthy and effective product, ie a trustworthy theory of human existence.

POTENTIAL —> SRUCTURE

Where does potential come from? It was (and is) there at the very beginning. We understand it by the intersection of Cantor's proof and the theory of probability, which kinks continua and discrete.

A song is a superposition of frequencies (energies). The musical interpretation of quantum mechanics.

Nothing; just carpentering away and thinking I am handling God, and does this feel real? [remember the consecrated host, 'the body and blood of Jesus', weird now] It seems to take a long time for intellectual discoveries to become embedded in culture and feeling, time measured in generations. The gulf between (for instance) the new model of God and Gregorian chant seems to be immense, but we are much coser to popular music which revolves mostly around the pleasures and pains of love and God is love, not abstract love, but this love.

[page 95]

Like everybody, I wish to immerse myself in the luxuriousness of the human condition, but there is a price to be paid which we will call maintenance of good relations, between nations, between shafts and their bearing or anything else, ie the maintenance of meaningful communication. Problems arise when we come across idiosyncratic blocks to communication, ie lack of a common code. This lack is not incurable since we all share a common heritage and this is the foundation, beginning a the big bang, of all our relationships, and can give us a guide to repairing failed relationships, 'irretrievable breakdowns'.

Tuesday 16 July 2013

Education /learning tends to carry us through the sub-layers of the human layer, beginning in the womb and moving through complete self-absorption to learning the codes necessary to communicate with our environments. our education divides into formal and informal. we pick up languages, gestures and all sorts of other software informally. Formal education generally takes the form of something developed by the senior members of the community with the intention of making each newborn a productive member of society with certain useful skills and ideas. Formal and informal are related like work and play, the later relatively pointless, the former requiring the sort of discipline we see taken to extremes in monasteries where the playful instinct is subjected to the form of reason that has become traditional in our society. The form is encoded in the literature of the society, those forms of words which are remembered and revered.

[page 96]

The unifying element in all human approaches to survival (and in all the acivity of the universe) is the envoronment for our activity, in the human case the planet earth which defines the envelope in which we live.

Wednesday 17 July 2013

From a practical point of view the Universe is all that there is and so we may call it divine. The traditionally theological dichotomy between God and the world is simply a fiction perpetuated because it gives power (and therefore fitness) to the elite which propagates it through their claim that they alone know what is really happening (what God wants) the divine plan of salvation, etc etc.

What new idea can we present to show that the Universe is divine? Quantum mechanics, relativity and metamathematics spring to mind, all products of the last century or so. None of this is conclusive but does make my hypothesis consistent and therefore possible. What we are offering is a new model of the data with the political component of the traditional interpretation removed. Power still accumulates around those with knowledge, but the knowledge we propose is truer, ie keeping closer to the observed facts.

We act when we are excited and we get excited when we perceive that our situation s either in error (eg we are falling) or a possibility for play (Huizinga). We need to work to correct error and play to explore the possibilities of divinity.

[page 97]

The fundamental error is a dissipative system is to lose the source of the dynamics, that is the 'force' driving the system away from equilibrium, ie food or (for the planet) sunlight.

As a matter of theological principle we should live within our income, ie on the Sun. Much of the recent explosive development of humanity has arise from us living beyond our means, going from an agrarian society, wholly dependent of the Sun, to a society burning capital to achieve rapid expansion.

The theology od sunshine : negotiations must begin with what we hold in common. When will the divine Universe 'go viral', become a meme in every mind, the founding protocol for universal communication.

Even God does not know the whole future until it happens, or, at least, cannot capture the whole future n a formal (fixed) expression which we can search for and study, which is what we mean 'to know', as in a relationship (exchange of information).

Global integration requires global knowledge. The world is suffering from the emergence of reams of old battles between local groups that have coexistes (in many cases) since time immemorial.

We might characterize life in general into periods of action and periods of rest, recuperation, recovery and maintenance. The human race has experienced a period of rapid action, fossil fuelled, and must now take stock of the system we have created. This reflection is motivated by the gradual realization that this world was not created 'just for us' but that we are

[page 98]

parts of a much larger (divine) system.

Al Jazeera: the theology of sunshine.

They do it because they can, they have the power (they wish) to monitor every human communication an the planets (National Security Agency, Snowden) [just like God].

God is the symbol of unity for everything, just as king or president is the symbol for the unity of a body politics. The fundamental problem in human global affairs is that we worship many different gods with vastly different personalities, so our unity is fractured. We need to restore God to its rightful position the symbol of universal unity.

Each task requires the preliminary establishment if the necessary capital (machinery) to do the task, even if it just filling the sink with hot water to do the dishes or preparing for war.

Equilibrium = equiprobability = maximum entropy
off equilibrium + skewed probability = limited entropy.

Entropy is a count of the fixed points (states) of a dynamic system. Shannon entropy weights states by their probability. Thermodynamic entropy considers all states equiprobable (Bottzmann entropy).

Entropy is maximized by a) increasing the number a of atomic symbols; or b) assembling atomic symbols into packets of length n.

[page 99]

In the first case entropy increases as log a. In the second as log (an) = n log a, significantly more powerful, but requires a) defining the alphabet of symbols ai; and b) fixing the selection and order of the symbols in a packet (better: word). A packet is analogous to a sentence, identifying itself, its sender and destination, like a letter. This ordering requires physical bonding. Why do we bond? Two can live as cheaply as one : the abstract (uninstantiated) software advantage, ie the power of knowledge : acting as parallel processors two may outperform two single processors working on the same task, because there are things that two can do that one cannot. In the simplest case consider lifting heavy objects. Ordering is implemented by bonding and permutation by the breaking and making of bonds between different elements.

I am a catalyst (protein) bonding pieces of material into a verandah, something they have a very low probability of doing by themselves (which probability measures the entropy of the verandah, ie its inverse).

The human network in peace and war. There can be no war in the Platonic world because resources are unlimited, which is not the case in the real world where forms compete for realization, like this theology.

A New theology Introduction : why do we need theology? To make things work. Conflicting theologies.

Pie Jesu Domine, dona eis requiem [Sweet Jesus Lord give them rest] Our hope for the intervention of a benevolent omnipotence.

So what was the question again? Why / how does

[page 100]

entropy increase? By differentiation of fixed points, in quantum mechanics one per dimension of the relevant Hilbert space. n measures the entropy of n+1 ie n = log n+1.

Entropy is a transformed count. The Count: 'when I am alone I count myself'. There is no limit to the number of fixed points in a pure dynamic system, aka asctus purus.

One does not so much disagree with the opposition but think why do they think that about this? Can it be a delusion. Is my delusion more realistic?

Quantum probabilities are invariant under unitary transformations of the basis vectors, ie <a|b= <Ua|Ub>.

Why does the number of fixed points increase? If the dynamic system is independent of the number of its fixed points, it cannot be the cause of the increase. So we are left with the logical inevitability of Cantor's theorem, given some way of ordering the same set in different ways, ie permutation. So how do we get from 0 states (omnino simplex) to 1, 2, 3 . . . ?

A state is a dynamic entity, represented by a vector rotating with a frequency proportional to the energy of the system it represents, a cycle, a transmitted and acknowledged message, somehow represented by ψψ*.

actus purus = vacuum, pure God, no fixed points.

[page 101]

Then we watch fixed points (particles, messages) appear and disappear in the vacuum.

An integrated global system is not possible without a global theology. The world is at present fragmented at the highest level by its plethora of theologies that cannot all be universally right, even though they may seem satisfactory to a particular population sharing a particular religious ancestry. The only way for theology to become universal is to couple itself to the Universe by becoming an empirical sciences. To do this is must assume that God and the Universe are one and the same.

We hold that whatever happens in the vacuum, as in God, must be consistent, ie the observable fixed points must be consistent with one another, so we have no local instances of (p and not-p) =I is an event, named for its own view of itself.

My primordial question: how canGod know everything without ny structure in which to record the information. A mystery, they said, beyond human understanding. [A bit like how can we code an infinity of information into a continuum?] Now I have an answer in mathematical fixed point theorems that the vacuum mapping onto itself creates the fixed points that represent to us and all observers the structure of the Universe.

Music, a modulation of frequencies operating outside the [quantum constraint of conservation of energy / frequency].

The ancient religions have enormous hindsight, bedded in thousands of years of tradition, but very little foresight apart from saying that everything is for the best and it will

[page 102]

all turn out right in the end. A bit fatalistic. If we are to break free of this we must learn to look at the world and take charge of our own lives and fates, collectively. We suffer somewhat from natural disasters but most of our pain is caused from our own dysfunctional relationships with one another. What we need is a global religion, a spiritual internet protocol to bind us all together. As did the ancient Hebrews, we must face the question: one God or many? The Hebrews went for the One, and their position is consistent with the unity of the Universe, everything working in some sort of (divinely ordained) harmony.

Encoding and decoding introduce latency, delay, finite velocity.

Light is the characteristic particle of the Universe, its fixed point (never at rest) the Universe itself.

Conservation of energy = the sum of all the frequencies is fixed, different frequencies being different channels, as in the radio spectrum. Technologically we can put carefully structured signals on the energy spectrum to transmit information by bringing it into correspondence with observable physical entities.

If the Universe begins absolutely simple , we would expect the explanation of its early stages of development to be relatively simple, 1 bit, 2 bit . . . .

0y lifetime obsession. To rebuild theology. It could be so beautiful if it could break free of political control.

[page 103]

Most of our miseries are caused by our relationships to one another and most of our relationships are conditioned by our religious, personal and cultural histories, by the structure of our memories.

The commercial criterion. It just has to appear better to prospective customers, so much better (we hope) that it may eventually drive the old product out of the market, like valve and relay computers.

Although political decisions are predominantly made to benefit those with the power to make them, and concern for the environment may be no exception, one can see in the environmental movement a growing awareness that the Earth has value in its own right and was not simply put here to sustain us.
