Could the idea of the diron as the relativistic lego block of spacetime really represent reality or have I finally strayed so far from the way of truth that there is no hope for me? Only time till tell. Another night of smoke and fire mellowed before dawn by longed for rain.
[page 7]
Nevertheless it is the sort of thing I am looking for, an embodied algorithm of entropy 4, the four dimensions of spacetime. The algorithm is constructed from simple algorithms of 0, 1, 2, 3 dimensions, ie degrees of freedom [memory locations] There is the further introduction of a countable infinity of degrees of freedom when the dirons forms the nodes of a network and interact with one another at random phases of their process, thus implementing the uncertainty principle and the symmetries of space-time / energy-momentum.
Anonymity decreases credibility because facts (messages) cannot be checked with their source to clarify and verify the meaning of the message. The need for full duplex communication constrains the communicants to employ an invertible code which must be orthogonal to all other codes if it is to be deterministically (algorithmically) encoded and decoded.
Error free communication is / requires determinism, ie Turing machines.
Creating mythology: The author slept on a hardwood floor covered by a fire brigade blanket and using his rainsoaked coat as a pillow, dreaming about dirons. The image is suggested by de Vries real valued spatial symmetric representation of the Dirac equation. He has gone from complex to real. Now we need to go from real to integral to get the digital network universe which is constrained in its complexity by the number of orthogonal states available to it, 1, 2, . . . n . . . ℵ0, . . . ℵℵ0 , . . . etc. Hans de Vries: Physics Quest: The real symmetric representation of the Dirac equation
The set of permutations is a complete basis.
Commonweal: I am trying to initiate a conversation with the Pope, the Curia and the Academy.

I was born into this project. Seeking authenticity in order to communicate effectively, starting from the point of realizing that the theology of my youth is radically wrong. Rebuilding a consistent faith has taken a long time, but I am emerging out of the smoke into the light.
Climate change: the world is living and if you poke it it pushes back (otherwise you could not push it). This is the characteristic of a cybernetic system, Gaia. Gaia hypothesis - Wikipedia

His Holiness, Pope Francis
Apostolic Palace,
00120 Vatican CityDear Pope Francis,
I wrote to you sometime ago documenting my dissatisfactions with the Church. I am writing again to develop my case with less emotion and more science.
In a nutshell, I allege that the Roman Catholic Church worships a false God of its own creation.
The Church maintains that the true God is a being completely other than the Universe.
This contention rests on three foundations. The first is the documentary evidence to be found in the New Testament. These documents were written within the Church to establish its own position, and so carry little scientific weight at this time.
The second is that the Church, by offering itself as the sole channel to an invisible God, has amassed a wealth of property and political power which leads many people to believe that it really is an avenue to the truth of the human condition. Unfortunately, wealth and power carry no rightful weight in matters of science, which are decided solely by observations of reality.
The third is a scientific tradition dating back to the Eleatic philosophers and descending to us through Plato, Aristotle, Augustine and Aquinas that maintains incompatible models of God and the Universe. This tradition concludes from this that God must be other than the world. This conclusion is clearly model dependent, and may not follow if other possible models are used.
We begin from the model of God which Aquinas presents in the Summa. Following Aristotle, Aquinas concludes that God is pure act, actus purus, the realization of all possibility. In terms of the doctrine of potency and act, there is no potency in God, only actuality.
Using the notion that God is pure act, Aquinas goes on to show that the traditional properties of God are consistent with this model. An opening for revision of Aquinas’ arguments occurs in his discussion of the life of God. Aquinas follows Aristotle’s definition of life as self motion. But, it is objected, motion is the passage from potency to act. Since there is no potency in God, there can be no motion, no self-motion and no life.
Aquinas overcomes this objection by proposing a form of motion, unique to God, from actuality to actuality. The modern understanding of universal dynamics is consistent with this view. Although Aristotle held that no potency could actualize itself, the classical harmonic oscillator (an ideal pendulum for instance) converts potential energy to kinetic energy and back again perfectly and eternally. Physical pendula, insofar as they are frictionless, provide evidence that this model is close to reality.
When we turn to quantum physics, we learn that quantum systems are in perpetual motion at a rate proportional to their energy. In this equation, potential energy is exactly equivalent to kinetic energy, so that we may see quantum processes as motion from act to act, as Aquinas saw in the life of God.
Since God, whatever it is, is all that there is, all motion in God is from God to God, that is God moves within itself. The ancients, like Parmenides, thought that there was an absolute difference between stillness and motion. Modern mathematics tells us that any mappings from closed convex sets onto themselves necessary contain fixed points which are parts of the motion.
This suggests that there is no inconsistency between a completely simple dynamic God and a system, like our Universe, which has observable fixed points as well as being eternally dynamic. The fixed points are not other than the motion, they are part of the motion.
The models implied in modern physics, therefore, remove any logical and scientific barriers to considering God to be identical to the Universe. The evolution that we observe in the Universe is simply the manifestation of new and more complex fixed points in the life of God.
If the true God is the Universe, then theology can become a real science. All the fixed points that we observe in the Universe are messages from God, that is revelation in the traditional theological sense. Since God (and the Universe) are one, and scientific method is considered to lead us asymptotically to the truth, the assumption that the Universe is divine can lead us to a unification of theology, just as the empirical method has unified the other sciences.
As baptized Catholic I have been appalled for many years at the serious moral and intellectual failings of the Church.
On the moral side, I refer of course to the ongoing cover-up of child sexual abuse in the Church. This denial of culpability is endemic in the Church in Australia as elsewhere. Fortunately our secular authorities are slowly beginning to bring the Church to account by showing it that it is not above the law. No doubt you are deeply involved in trying to eradicate this evil, which has brought the Church into disrepute worldwide and threatens to totally destroy its financial viability.
Even more devastating to the credibility of the Church, I believe, is its political control of theology, reminiscent of the worst excesses of the Lysenko era in the erstwhile Soviet Union. I recently discovered that The Pontifical Academy of Sciences does not count theology amongst its scientific disciplines.
The Church has claimed infallibility on the basis that its God would not let it go wrong. Scientists, on the other hand, tell us that if the Universe itself is infallible, their method, applied with sufficient care, will bring them ever closer to the truth. So great is the political power of the Church that it has been able to shrug off the scientific revolution and continue to live as though science did not exist. The problem, in a nutshell, is that our current crop of theologies and religions are all mystery based. The Church has taken possession of God and hidden it. God is beyond our ken, it says. Only the Church can speak and act for God. In the absence of credible supporting evidence, this mandate is purely a matter of faith.
The alternative to a mysterious God is a visible God. Let the Church reject the ancient hypothesis that God is a mysterious other, existing outside the Universe but somehow controlling its every move. Instead let us observe that there is no evidence to suggest that God and the Universe are anything other than identical. If this is the case, all of our experience is experience of God.
Like any paradigm changing hypothesis this one challenges the credibility of the established power. Will you respond, as monarchs so often do, with violence? Or will you bend to reality? Your Papacy so far suggests that you follow reality.
The Church must overcome the pride that has led it to see itself as the ultimate authority on Earth. Pride that has prompted so much burning and torture through the ages. The Church must have the courage to subject its beliefs to a bit of bona fide scientific quality control. The Church's recent blunders suggest that the claim to infallibility is no help.
As Pope, you have the opportunity to initiate a Theological Spring. The Church cannot be healed until theology breaks free from political and institutional control and joins the other sciences in the free world of uncontrolled exploration.
Perhaps you could commission the Pontifical Academy of Sciences to study the question and decide whether the Universe as we now know it is the puppet of an unseen God or a self sufficient entity, capable of controlling and explaining itself.
The weight of history will be with you. Scientific theology and the corresponding evidence based religion are embedded in the divine world and are slowly entering our consciousness through science, art, literature, democracy, the rule of law and the overriding perception that we are all equal human beings.
I further hope you might eventually accept the fate awaiting all absolute monarchs and enter a constitutional arrangement where your role has powers defined by a scientific and democratic Church,
My interest: Fifty years ago I entered the Catholic Dominican Order. After five years, and solemn profession, I was asked to leave because I was judged non-compliant with the 24 philosophical theses promulgated by Pope Pius X .
Thank you for your attention.
Yours sincerely,

Why am I doing this? Because it is so attractive. An exciting and beautiful vision of God is emerging for me built upon the written speculations about God that our species has lived by since time immemorial. The invention of monotheism was the first big step forward because it implied that despite many appearances [the world is one].
What is the computational structure of space? Does it pre-exist particles, is it a product of particles? What we
[page 9]
know is that it has 3 1/2 dimensions - time only goes one way (?). How big a machine do we need to make a diron? The gamma matrices are constructed of Pauli matrices, suggesting a layered structure. All we need to show is that there are enough degrees of freedom to match the degrees of freedom in a model of the layer of interest.
Instead of adapting computing to quantum mechanics, we adapt quantum mechanics to computing [matrix mechanics]. An eigenfunction is a computable function.
We may think of Dirac as a generic four state equation.
The gamma matrices eliminate the cross terms in the product derived from Einstein equation E2 = p2 + m2 thereby establishing and maintaining the orthogonality in the dimensions of spacetime.

Year 12 graduation. The pep talks from the school management emphasize the potential triumph of the will — want it enough and you will get it. Don't get it? Didn't want it enough. This sort of encouragement may have its good side, but in practice puts schoolchildren under unnecessary pressure, possibly causing psychological damage, and ignores the fact that one can't get everything one wants because reality does place limits on us. On the other hand ideas like this do help me to continue with my delusion that I can reform theology if I press hard enough, and that if I do not make much headway, others may take up the task (and probably already have) and move it along.
[page 10]Coming around again to the digital version of the two slit experiment, something I have been thinking about for about 40 years and have made no progress that I can record. But maybe something will come one day. The classical quantum explanation is so clear it is hard to get behind it or go beyond it, as Feynman says, it just is. Richard Feynman: The Feynman Lectures on Physics (volume 3) : Quantum Mechanics
I am still optimistic, however, that the computer network model describes the Universe and we start with a two state system, the two states propagating through the slits of the two slit system as long as the slits are close enough together to make it equiprobable for a delocalized particle to go through one or the other. But particles interfere with themselves, their internal states interacting with one another as described by a particular Hamiltonian.

We think we are pretty tricky, but it may be that we are trickier than we think. From a theoretical point of view it seems true that each of us (in common with every other entity in the Universe) has an unbroken line of descent from the initial singularity that cosmologists place at the beginning of spacetime. This magnificent heritage has endowed us with all the features necessary for survival. Through the course of our evolution these factors have necessarily varied with our changing environment. We know now that Earth has undergone many changes in its lifetime and those lines of descent that have survived these changes have been those capable of adapting fast enough to deal with the environment.

'THE COMMONWEAL will be definitely Christian in its presentation of orthodox religious principles and their application to the subjects that fall within its purview.' Commonwealmagazine.org
Perhaps not anticipating the conflicts between Christian love of neighbour and an orthodoxy which tries to stand above humanity and condemns those deemed unorthodox to various sanctions in this and the after life.
As a sure background, THE COMMONWEAL will have the continuous, unbroken tradition and teachings of the historic Mother Church.'
Computers like my laptop have an electronic hardware layer that can be manipulated by softare layers to perform the logical operations specified in an algorithm. At the lowest layer in the Universe we lose the distinction between hardware and software and we have a system that can perform very simple logical operations like not giving us a fundamentally two state system whose states can be described as p and not-p. Here we have no memory, since not-p is annihilated to create p and p in turn to create not-p, which is remembered only as the dual of p, ie not-p.
Maybe the best way to attack the Church is to cast it as a political rather than a scientific organization, its claim to 'absolute' truth is just wishful thinking enforced by political power which comes to it because we have a natural tendency to follow our social environment, the source of our income and our self respect. It is not easy to break away from this until a more attractive alternatie is produced, ie a deeper potential well, the deepest of all being the true divinity, the wold in which we live and move [and cannot leave alive].

The theology problem is both scientific and political, and we have to work from both angles: we need some science to justify the expenditure on research [my expenditure]. We need some politics to raise the funds so justified. Hopefully we can create positive feedback, producing enough science to justify funding to produce more science by demonstrating the benefits arising from scientific theology.
