The science of complex dynamics that began in the time of Poincare (Jules Henri, 1854-1912) has shown us the mathematical truth of something people have known and written about for

3000+ years. The world is divided into predictable situations and chaotic situations. Predictable situations are controllable, chaotic situations are not. MANDELBROT SET. We are building the system up from set theory and the question of CONVERGENCE.

The basic religious precept is stay out of chaos. However, life and profitability depend on remaining close to chaos in order to have adaptability.

CHAOS == SYMMETRY

The fundamental economic problem is managing the markets to deliver a stably growing economy. Obviously more control parameters are needed to control the system.

It is a question of bandwidth. Is there enough headroom in the Universe to create heaven? The christian

answer is yes, an answer with which all happy persons might agree, but the argument for the truth of this proposition is a deus ex machina. As Christians, we postulate a god who is totally in charge of things and organizes everything to happen for the best, no matter how it may look from our limited point of view.

Now we ask the question from an information processing point of view, how would such a god operate in the Universe we inhabit, and can we increase this god's performance so that human beings can avoid all the self-inflicted pain and suffering that has plagued the human world (and heavily impacted the rest of the world) over the last few thousand years, Fall in love? Why not? There is no answer to the question why except heaven.

comes, to be structured into the theoretical part of this site.

Do most of us reject war? Was there a time when people favoured war? We may start to answer this by assuming that all the agents are rational, acting to maximize their personal payoff, by cooperation or competition, as seems most advantageous. The dynamics of cooperation and competition are therefore related to the dynamics of bonding and separating, what we call chemistry. (in both strict and analogous senses - ℵ0 analogies?) Or more. Depends on the size of the meaning pace and the density of mapping term by term. In a fully dense system, every permutation is meaningful. In a sparse (vacuous) system only a few perhaps distant from one another (by an appropriate metric) to avoid confusion.

BAD TIME - PAIN - CONSCIOUS

Pain arises in peer n when errors are so threatening that it has to call upon n+1 for salvation.

round, but nothing happens without opportunity as well. A gauge prerequisite for an action is a close circuit which allows action to flow.

[diagram In phase = closed switches = happen]

Of course, great potentials like great loves are able to jump the gaps (or effectively forces the switches closed). If switches open and close at random (as described by a wave function) then there is a certain probability of a complete circuit, ie an event ('collapse' of wave function).

The closing of a switch is the equivalent of the establishment of a connection, that is an act of communication, establishing a symmetry or bearing round which an act can flow (hence action is equivalent to angular momentum? Too simple to be true) So we establish a sort of NK model of logical connection.

INHIBITION> So there is a force tending to make one fall in love, and there are a set of inhibitions which prevent it happening.

Cantor, Georg, Contributions to the Founding of the Theory of Transfinite Numbers (Translated, with Introduction and Notes by Philip E B Jourdain), Dover 1955 Jacket: 'One of the greatest mathematical classics of all time, this work established a new field of mathematics which was to be of incalculable importance in topology, number theory, analysis, theory of functions, etc, as well as the entire field of modern logic.'

Dawkins, Richard, The God Delusion, Houghton Mifflin 2006 Amazon Editorial Review From Publishers Weekly 'The antireligion wars started by Daniel Dennett and Sam Harris will heat up even more with this salvo from celebrated Oxford biologist Dawkins. For a scientist who criticizes religion for its intolerance, Dawkins has written a surprisingly intolerant book, full of scorn for religion and those who believe. But Dawkins, who gave us the selfish gene, anticipates this criticism. He says it's the scientist and humanist in him that makes him hostile to religions—fundamentalist Christianity and Islam come in for the most opprobrium—that close people's minds to scientific truth, oppress women and abuse children psychologically with the notion of eternal damnation. While Dawkins can be witty, even confirmed atheists who agree with his advocacy of science and vigorous rationalism may have trouble stomaching some of the rhetoric: the biblical Yahweh is "psychotic," Aquinas's proofs of God's existence are "fatuous" and religion generally is "nonsense." The most effective chapters are those in which Dawkins calms down, for instance, drawing on evolution to disprove the ideas behind intelligent design. In other chapters, he attempts to construct a scientific scaffolding for atheism, such as using evolution again to rebut the notion that without God there can be no morality. He insists that religion is a divisive and oppressive force, but he is less convincing in arguing that the world would be better and more peaceful without it.' Prigogine, Ilya, and Isabelle Stengers, Order Out of Chaos: Man's New Dialogue with Nature, Bantam 1984 Foreword: 'Order Out of Chaos is a brilliant, demanding, dazzling book -- challenging for all and richly rewarding for the attentive reader. It is a book to study, to savour, to reread -- and to question yet again. It places science and humanity back in a world where ceteris paribus is a myth -- a world in which other things are seldom held steady, equal or unchanging. In short it projects science into today's revolutionary world of instability, disequilibrium and turbulence. In so doing, it serves the highest creative function -- it helps us create fresh order.' Wilson, Edward Osborne, Sociobiology: The new synthesis, Harvard UP 1975 Chapter 1: '... the central theoretical problem of sociobiology: how can altruism, which by definition reduces personal fitness, possibly evolve by natural selection? The answer is kinship. ... Sociobiology is defined as the systematic study of the biological basis of all social behaviour. ... It may not be too much to say that sociology and the other social sciences, as well as the humanities, are the last branches of biology waiting to be included in the Modern Synthesis.'
