We fight the obvious because we have fixed ideas and desires which inhibit 'going with the flow'. The world is so complex, however, that it is not easy to see the flow.
We begin with fantasy and slowly move closer and closer to execution by examining the engineering constraints on the fantasy, searching for a path to its realization, eg (always!) flight.
Transcribing, editing and reformatting my Notes. Would like to go back as far as possible, a big job but I am consolidating my position by studying how I got here, so that I will have the self confidence to go public.

All the steps in an evolutionary chain must be viable otherwise the chain ends, the species, project, business, operation etc becomes extinct -- process ends, ie halts.
