Principle 3: Christian doctrine of the Trinity says gods produce gods within themselves. Christianity place a limit on 3. We place no limit.

Cognitive cosmology will be finished this week and begin draft of book.: website A New Theology, continuing honours work say 50 000 word summary of home made PhD.

Now to the book. What is the point? Death and heaven on Earth. Face the facts: peace on Earth. We need a clear route to peace. Jeffrey Nicholls (1987): A theory of Peace.

The Catholic Church is a load of fantasy and we have to replace it with something better. I build my story on my own constitution of body and mind joined by symmetry with respect to complexity. We face the first fact that theology and physics are both bogus. We take on US Christian imperialism.

So we begin with body and mind, Minkowski and Hilbert. Mind

[page 48]

gives variation, body gives selection. So evolution is fundamental, as is the initial singularity.

Next thing to write is the [book version of cognitive cosmology] PhD thesis in A new Theology.

A reinterpretation of physics and theology based on Aristotle, Aquinas and Nielsen and Chuang. Nielsen & Chuang (2016): Quantum Computation and Quantum Information

Theology and physics are currently rubbish but they can repair one another through the symmetry with respect to complexity.

The world, particularly the women and children in the world, are suffering grievously and the fact is that most theocracies are fascist crap simply designed to give wealth and power to the [male] priest class. Christian bishops in the Roman Empire were often very wealthy and controlling.

The home made PhD file is now 6 MB, let us say a million words. Strip out the code and the references we have got 500 000. I would like the book to be 20 chapters of 2500 for 50 000, so a little compression [ie pruning] is needed.

Tuesday 12 December 2023

Two applications of symmetry with respect to complexity. 1. Atomic radiation and speech are controlled by unitarity.

[page 49]

2. Evolution is both periodic and corpuscular, generation following generation of individuals.

3. While Planck's quantum is the minimum unit of action, many quanta may occur simultaneously to represent a large quantum of energy [ℏω, with no apparent upper limit on ω].

Struggling a bit with cc24_chromodynamics trying to pick out and apply the featured of cognitive cosmology which I hope will cure the deficits in QFT. Tomorrow we deal with the kinematic/Hilbert and dynamic/Minkowski structures of particles which are all images of the initial singularity, like me with kinematic_Hilbert consciousness inside driving my dynamic_Minkowski body to think about the essential features of the mating game, particularly portrayed by the sex worker Anastasia who wants to get her vulva into everything and cannot leave it alone, trying to suck in fertilizers to continue her being. The analogy is powerful and comes closer to the identification of insight and orgasm that came to me in the Dominicans while I was struggling with Aquinas, masturbation and my powerful love for a very beautiful fellow monk. This coincidence has driven me toward sexiness and cognitive cosmology ever since.

The set of Turing computable codecs is a complete system of events, or the Turing computable functions. Is there guaranteed to be an inverse to every computable function - yes in quantum computation?

[page 150]

The cardinal of the set of quantized quantum functions may be equal to the cardinal of the set of Turing computable functions [insofar as an infinite subset of an infinite set may be equinumerous with the whole set!].

Still have not got the point of cc24_chromodynamics, except that I feel strongly that Wilczek's book is a load of rubbish, despite the Nobel prize. I do not have any interest in detailed criticism, rather in producing a new paradigm for the apparent complexity and eternity of the proton as it may be the key evolutionary development in the life of the Universe and perhaps in time will be the cognitive principle of symetry with respect to complexity, a primary paradigm for the construction of the Universe. This point may be central to my program and so I must (as I keep saying) take my time with it, and in the interim start developing the popular book (a la Wilczek) of my new theology that I hope will clarify my views. The logical may to this is in html, which can easily be cut down to pure text [pdf] for submission to publishers at the end of the Christmas holidays. Wilczek (2008): The Lightness of Being: Mass, Ether, and the Unification of Forces

The theme of 'the book': Catholicism has reached its use by date and must make the transition from mythology and consequent violence and arbitrary power to scientific connection with reality and a realization of the spiritality of reality.

[page 51]

In fact all the old theocratic religions have reached their use by dates. They all have major scientific and political defects.

Post Galilean theology

Thursday 14 December 2023

The truth is oozing through. The primary principle of peace which is the principle of [intellectual] freedom first captured in Nicholls (1987) and built into the Universe and Aquinas's vision of god which is that there should be no arbitary constaint, ie that the only bound on omnipotence is consistency. The Universe, we guess, is built on this principle which is therefore the key to physics and quantum field theory and any physical hypothesis that constrains this principle is doomed to failure. The current version of quantum field theory which met its waterloo in attempting to quantize gravity which contradicts absolute simplicity and omnipotence, the basic conundrum of theology. Visit Auntie today and then rewrite cc24_chromodynamics in terms of this insight. Is this exciting enough to overcome my torpor. Reread the theory of Peace (1987).

The Universe, in my picture, is the Vision of God and an physical theory must respect this principle, which

[page 52]

becomes principle 2. Insofar as quantum mechanics contradicts this principle, we must assume it to be wrong, and so we must begin from first principles to correct it. We must, of course, respect the data, which we have gathered by doing our best to imitate the primordial explosion postulated by the big bang theory. The current (and I consider fatal) problem in quantum field theory is its inability to quantize gravitation. Any chance of doing so according to current thinking involves events that occur at the Planck scale which is totally our of reach of experimental exploration so is in no position to tell us anything, We have clear evidence that gravitation is not renormalizable: it fails the test of renormalizability that all communication in the Universe must be maintained by systems whose coupling constants are pure numbers [we already have a unified field theory insofar as all forces in the Universe are unified under the term codec]. This idea condemns the Universe to triviality, which is clearly not the case. This is why we must network the structure of communication which restructuring our approach to the structure of the world which means that we have to listen to Shannon. The principle (now 4) of symmetry with respect to complexity demands this and explains the quantization of the Universe into discrete stepwise quantum interactions which are represented by integers created by God. Claude Shannon (1949): Communication in the Presence of Noise, Codec - Wikipedia, Hawking (2007): God Created the Integers

The ancient theologies of the world have put an enormous amount of effort into deprecating

page 53]

in favour of their preferred theories of the nature of reality which are all fantasies enforced by violence. The foolish government of Israel is currently engaged in murdering tens of thousands of people on the grounds of silly old men who have claimed to be in contact with their silly old divinity who is the epitomization of the stupid arrogance that characterizes "strong men" everywhere: "I am the Lord your God. I will have no other Gods before me". Anyone who disagrees faces death. This began at Sinai. This God gave his people a Promised Land whose capture involved genocide of its original inhabitants. This stupidity early caused the death of Galileo because the stupid followers of this violent God held that God held the Sun still so that they could complete the murder of the Amorites. The Hebrew God is a murderer. For the Original Sin they condemned the whole human race to death (a fact that has nothing to do with my divinity). Then came the Flood [to kill everything except a boatload of chosen ones]. And it goes on. The Crusades, the European wars of religion, the genocide of the Palestinians, all based on the stupid ancient fallacies which are in fact theological justifications of the principle that might is right. Exodus 32: The Lord orders Moses to slaughter the worshippers of the Golden Calf, Crusades - Wikipedia

The quantization of gravitation is impossible because renormalizability is a simple numerical statistical theory [based on the theory of probability, Kolmogorov] Andrey Nikolaevich Kolmogorov (1956): Foundations of the Theory of Probability

[page 54]

Physicists and theologians manifest the same level of blindness as climate deniers and the miners, marketers and profiteers in the fossil fuel business.

The advantage of evolution is that it enables systems to adapt to changing situations. This can have perverse results in the human world, as we see in academe, religion and politics. The entry into academe is via a higher degree, often a doctorate, the qualification for teaching which is generally supervised by a university department that gets to decide who can qualify. When a religion gives people the option of believe or die, as we see in many totalitarian countries, there us a strong incentive toward belief. This accounts for the large measure of approval of Putin's regime in Russia, since dissent costs 15 years of imprisonment. I had a similar experience in the Roman Catholic Church where my vocation to the priesthood (although it is traditionally interpreted as a call from god) was arbitrarily cancelled because the selection committee disagreed with my position. I have stuck to my guns for nearly sixty years and now I am ready to make my fortune by bringing the Church down.

As I shoot down the Catholic Church I also take down all the other absolutist religions that have built their churches on the Catholic paradigm. I am particularly thinking of those religions that kill and mutilate and deprecate women because

[page 55]

they make out that their gods give them authority to do this.

Still struggling with cc24_chromodynamic, .but the assumption that the Universe is divine and therefore covers the complete ambit of consistency seems good, as is the idea that our vision of the Universe is the vision of God, plus the principle of symmetry with respect to complexity enabling us to work from everyday experience to the structure of the proton vias a consideration of evolution. Then what? The essence of evolution is reproduction and the proton is an eternal closed group of fermions and bosons so we can look for clues there, plus the idea that the W and Z bosons can change the nature of quarks. Is there anything to be learnt from this? It would certainly put of the cat among the pigeons if theology can say more about chromodynamics that the SLAC. Now to bed to dream up the next move out onto the branch of improbability. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory - Wikipedia

One of the boundaries of evolution is females fighting because they have so much more to lose.

Very early this morning I went to bed promising myself that I would know the answer to cc24_chromodynamics in the morning, and I wake up and find that I had known all along. The reason I was thrown out of the Dominicans was that when I read Lonergan's Insight I knew that the Catholic God is a false God, and this

[page 56]

morning I realized that one of Australia's most famous pedophiles, Peter Searson, was the person who filled me with the [sexual] shame and fear that got me into the Order in the first place [my thought was that since masturbation is a mortal sin and I cannot help it, supererogation is the only thing that is going to keep me out of hell]. Bernard Lonergan (1992): Insight: A Study of Human Understanding

The essence of Lonergan's book is the reproduction of Aquinas's proof for the existence of God. His method, like Aquinas's was to show that the Universe cannot explain itself so therefore we must find an explanation in the fact that the Universe contains empirical residue, unexplained facts, in other words it is deficient in meaning [The empirical residue . . . consists of positive empirical data, . . . is to be denied any immanent intelligibility of its own . . . : page 50]. A god that might have created the best of all possible worlds created a defective world, thus opening a path for the Christian story of delusion, which I fell for hook, line and sinker.

So now we start with Aquinas's first way, drawn from Aristotle's argument for the existence of a divine first mover to drive the motion of Plato's kinematic forms to implement Aristotle's hylomorphic theory of change which requires forms to be embedded in different mater to explain how eternal forms and the standard material elements of earth, water, air and fire could underlie change. Aristotle's first mover is a part of an eternal Universe, but Aquinas, honouring Christian dogma, placed God outside the created universe, his first and most fundamental deviation from Aristotle, accommodating the false Christian doctrine that makes their whole scam possible, since they

[page 57]

are in contact with their invisible god. Aquinas Summa I, 2, 3: Does God exist?, Unmoved mover - Wikipedia, Hylomorphism - Wikipedia

It is interesting to see how one bows to the powers that be even though one knows that one's cause is just. This was the case when the Order of Preachers decided to evict me although I knew then [1967] as I know now that the truth (Veritas) that the Order purports to teach as as false then as it is now. History shows that this Order was implicit in the murder of 'heretics' in the fifth Crusade. I will now let my case, as so far developed in cognitive cosmology, rest and turn to writing a book of my conclusions with the intention of relaxing the burden of proof from beyond reasonable doubt to the balance of probabilities, in other words to make a civil and hopefully profitable case for my position and set in motion a political campaign against all the autocratic theocracies who have deluded the world since weapon's technology introduced the imperial age of rape and pillage. This began in the history of the Roman Catholic Church with the rape of Germany by the Roman armies. Meanwhile I will put some finishing touches to Cognitive Cosmology by Christmas so it can stand as an evidential backing to my 'civil case'. This is necessary to strengthen my case against the global increase in the power of antidemocratic and antihumanitarian forces in the world. I other words I need to become a politician in my old age to fight the injustices I see,

[page 58]

Christianity, Trumpism, climate denial and the general depreciation of science and intelligence in favour of conspiracy theories and opinions without evidence that are the greatest danger that we face. At the root of all these are the ideas of autocratic theocracies that date, we may say, from before the Galilean enlightenment which led the Catholic Church to expose its true lethal fear of truth. Agence France Presse , Jailed Nobel Peace Prize winner blasts Iran’s ‘tyrannical’ regime, ' Imprisoned Nobel Peace Prize winner Narges Mohammadi denounced on Sunday a “tyrannical and anti-women religious” government in Iran, in a speech delivered by her children who accepted the award in her absence. Mohammadi, who has campaigned against the compulsory wearing of the hijab and the death penalty in Iran, has been held since 2021 in Tehran’s Evin prison. Autocracy - Wikipedia, Autocracy - Wikipedia, the free enecylopedia, ' Autocracy is a system of government in which absolute power is held by the ruler, known as an autocrat. It includes most forms of monarchy and dictatorship, while it is contrasted with democracy and feudalism. Various definitions of autocracy exist. They may restrict autocracy to a single individual, or they may also apply autocracy to a group of rulers who wield absolute power. The autocrat has total control over the exercise of civil liberties within the autocracy, choosing under what circumstances they may be exercised, if at all. Governments may also blend elements of autocracy and democracy, forming an anocracy. The concept of autocracy has been recognized in political philosophy since ancient times. ' back

Claude Shannon (1949), Communication in the Presence of Noise, 'A method is developed for representing any communication system geometrically. Messages and the corresponding signals are points in two “function spaces,” and the modulation process is a mapping of one space into the other. Using this representation, a number of results in communication theory are deduced concerning expansion and compression of bandwidth and the threshold effect. Formulas are found for the maximum rate of transmission of binary digits over a system when the signal is perturbed by various types of noise. Some of the properties of “ideal” systems which transmit at this maximum rate are discussed. The equivalent number of binary digits per second for certain information sources is calculated.' [C. E. Politics of Vatican City - Wikipedia, Politics of Vatican City - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, ' The politics of Vatican City take place in a framework of a theocratic absolute elective monarchy, in which the Pope, religiously speaking, the leader of the Catholic Church and Bishop of Rome, exercises ex officio supreme legislative, executive, and judicial power over the Vatican City as it is being governed by the Holy See, a rare case of non-hereditary monarchy. . . . The term "Holy See" refers to the composite of the authority, jurisdiction, and sovereignty vested in the Pope and his advisers to direct the worldwide Catholic Church. It is therefore quite distinct from the Vatican City state, which was created in 1929, through the Lateran treaties between the Holy See and Italy. As the "central government" of the Catholic Church, the Holy See has a legal personality that allows it to enter into treaties as the juridical equal of a state and to send and receive diplomatic representatives. Unmoved mover - Wikipedia, Unmoved mover - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, ' The unmoved mover (Ancient Greek: ὃ οὐ κινούμενον κινεῖ, lit. 'that which moves without being moved' or prime mover (Latin: primum movens) is a concept advanced by Aristotle as a primary cause (or first uncaused cause) or "mover" of all the motion in the universe. As is implicit in the name, the unmoved mover moves other things, but is not itself moved by any prior action. In Book 12 (Greek: Λ) of his Metaphysics, Aristotle describes the unmoved mover as being perfectly beautiful, indivisible, and contemplating only the perfect contemplation: self-contemplation. He equates this concept also with the active intellect. This Aristotelian concept had its roots in cosmological speculations of the earliest Greek pre-Socratic philosophers and became highly influential and widely drawn upon in medieval philosophy and theology. St. Thomas Aquinas, for example, elaborated on the unmoved mover in the Quinque viae. ' back
