Four dimensions = 4 degrees of freedom. From special relativity we learn that every entity is moving in this space so that its four velocity u2 = -1 (Misner, Thorne and Wheeler page 54). What can vary is the direction of this motion, spacelike or timelike, and of the spacelike directions, x, y or z in varying proportions. In all cases the actual breakdown of the velocity depends on the velocity of the observer.

How do we use the network paradigm to explain complexification? A network is a set of communications. Each communication correlates a sink with a source.
The memory of the receiver is correlated with the memory of the sender, but the entropy must be there to receive the information [or is it created by the reception of the data?] Any entropy exists in some state and therefore contains a certain state of information. Communication correlates the states of two entities, but the no cloning theorem says that the correlation cannot be perfect. Another but: unitarity means that the entropy of the Universe is constant.
So let us say that the 4-entropy (bandwidth) of the Universe is constant, so preserving unitarity (?), but that there is a serial --> parallel conversion, ie the conversion of time into space. At the big bang we observe one particle with frequency [say] ℵ0 (period 1/ℵ0).
At the end of the Universe we will see ℵ0 particles with frequency 1. Behind this observable structure, we speculate that there has grown a system with transfinite complexity which gives meaning to each of the ℵ0 particles. Networks, by duplicating particles, are the source of this process.

Carrier - entropy
modulation - information
Maximum modulation uses all the available entropy. The entropy of the Universe is constant and measured by energy (bandwidth) while the modulation shows a tendency to increase (complexification).
CLOSURE - CONSISTENCY, controls modulation - the eigenvalue problem, which arises because the observable changes in action are confined to integral values, in a Universe whose overall bandwidth is ℵ0 (?). Or ℵ0 integral values (all available) are picked out from the transfinite continuum.
