It seems that we like to put other members of our species in situation of stress and like to watch people under stress on the TV and elsewhere. This may rise to some extent from the competition for existence acquiring sufficient resources for survival and even reproduction.
Catholicism is a product of greed. The desire to have all of the pleasures and none of the pains of life embodied (or disembodied) in a 'pure spirit' [is] a purely farcical dream of the Platonists. The real dynamic world is much more interesting and demanding.
The Bible is the Christian model of God. A complex and dramatic model of a being whose personality is very like that of the petty warlords and imperious princes who taxed and ruled smaller and larger numbers of people. Miles

The static formalist view of the Universe extends to economics and money. On the whole people seem to think of money as a thing to be possessed rather than a measure of the flow of value that passes through their hands. I you don't believe in yourself, who will? I have no difficulty in seeing natural religion reach world dominance. Its roots in democracy, the rule of law and fair trade are already well known and having a strong input into the management of the world.
One does not do much invent natural religions as finds it, and it should be promoted in this way. By contrasting it with Brand X (BX, = Roman Catholic Chiurch)

Have been following Israel's agonies quite closely in the press since I came home and can see that the place is doomed if it goes on trying to be a Jewish state. Judaism is based on ancient writing which are almost totally irrelevant to the modern world and embody a false model of god and the world. All successful modern democracies (including Turkey) have written religion out of their constitutions. This is not to say that religion does not exist in modern life, but that its ancient monarchic and authoritarian understanding of the human condition is incompatible with democracy.

Trying to make the transition from earth mover to mind mover. People will pay to have their earth moved; I just have to work out how to get them to pay for having their minds moved.
For me you have that special smell that babies have: chemical romance. Love conquers all in the sense that love reduces all difficulties (potential changes) to zero so that despite their difficulties, lovers tend to move on the same equipotential surface. What does this mean in network terms? We understand two sources to be on an equipotential when there is error free communication between them at the level we are considering. Two sources may exchange a message with no textual error and yet misunderstand one another at higher level due to different interpretations of the same text. This is a general feature induced by the fact that a dynamic system is not fully constrained by its stationary points. The classical stationary point of a dynamic system is its differential equation which generically has a large space of solutions, ie

conformant concrete representations represented by a set of boundary conditions which reduce the number of solutions.
The standard difficulties of marriage and the socially acceptable solutions to these difficulties ranging from suffer in complete silence to communication and possible split up. Traditional systems like Catholic marriages are arranged marriages presume the suffer in silence model, while creative and democratic systems give the individual more freedom to move away from pain.

Natural religion does this by distinguishing the predictable from the unpredictable in the process of the world and showing us how to anchor our social security on predictable elements and design our systems to that they can cope with a reasonable (and ever expanding) spectrum of random events.

Even though the slow pace and intricate detail of biological evolution make the evidence hard for some people to appreciate, our personal and social evolution is much more immediate and obvious, as well as the well documented histories of art, literature, music, politics, education and so on which are available to us.

What is the eternal myth?. If god is completely simple and the world started that way, there is not a lot to understand. We should at least be able to understand the simplest aspects of the world, like the Trinity and other structures of low cardinality.

To that serpent, which in ancient mythology hurried people toward knowledge of good and evil and so began the long and incomplete process of liberating us from warlords, gods, kings, emperors, clerics, the wealthy and powerful and all these who exploit their power to extract unfair value from their fellow people.
On the invention of God, the gradual expansion of human awareness beyond the labours of everyday life. We can imagine that much of this thought was generated and recorded in students and writings by those whose leisure had been obtained by enslaving other people in one way or another.

The Israel problem seems to be a 'chosen people complex'. For Israel to be Chosen, everybody else must

be unchosen, evil and therefore enemies. The price of chosenhood is paranoia and an inability to communicate with the rest of us. We are one species, all formally identically human despite minor differences There are no universally chosen people although we are all locally chosen at least by ourselves if we are not suicidal. We need a form of esprit de corps that is generated by appreciating ourselves rather than denigrating others.
To my mind you are perfect, meaning we are peers, that is systems with the came cardinal number and therefore able to be mapped to one another one to one.
To say that wisdom is essentially unspeakable is a cop out, a mystification. Wisdom is a profound knowledge of the world and its people which comes from experience which is the world speaking to us and so [is] speakable and therefore translatable into human speak which because of its lower bandwidth must be an abstract representation of experiences. Abstraction is possible because of the tree like structure of complexity, each junction representing an abstract view of the branches or leaves above it and a concrete instance of the branches below it, the root being the most abstract, parent of the whole tree. At the root all we observe is conservation of probability = conservation of energy. It is both abstract and concrete since it contains the whole tree and is also unique. So the classical God is the root of the natural god.

All the evolutionary process of religion is encompassed by natural religion which is another name for the dynamic creative force of the Universe. As in a silicon computer, it is the dynamics which logically connects the stationary points into a consistent system, eg a novel.
Love conquers all because it lies at the undifferentiated root and embraces, abstractly, all the branches and leaves.
As termites are surrounded by wooden food, we are surrounded by solar energy which is more than sufficient for our needs.
