cc21_zero-energy. We are trying to see gravitation as the image of God and the creator which gives life to the consistent possibilities. Gravitation serves as the creator, the mirror image

[page 340]

of observable reality so that gravitational potential + positive energy = 0.

Monday 20 March 2023

What am I excited about? Seems I am making some headway with the concept of gravitation as the image of the creator, the source of the potential that brings the fixed points of kinematic systems in Hilbert space into dynamic realization in Minkowski space through the bifurcation of action [the initial quantum singularity] into kinetic and potential energy which we might somehow conceive (following Feynman and Wheeler) as time going forward and time going backward whose superposition is pure act [the initial singularity], zero energy.

22.7: Gravitation and the emergence of particles

As Einstein noted in the conclusion to his paper on the field equations of general relativity, general relativity tells us nothing that is not already contained in the special relativity: "However, the general relativity postulate offers nothing more about the essence of other natural processes which was not already taught by the special theory of relativity." Now we nots that quantum theory, special relativity and general relativity are kinematic theories: they tell us what happens, but they do

[page 341]

do not tell us why. This function of the universe is to be found in the real Minkowski space whose peculiar metric enables the existence of null geodesics ans photons, the particles that follow null geodesics and enable quantum communications between points the ideas necessary to male quantum and gravitational contact possible. Rolf Landauer (1999): Information is a physical entity

As we have noted, only real quantized particles can carry information and since a differential manifold is a smooth continuous ideal it cannot carry information and so gravitation, as understood by Einstein, is not quantized and cannot carry information. Photons are the first quantized particles that create Minkowski space and which lay the foundation for real communication in the real Minkowski space whose metric they create. The potential in gravitation is what realizes these and other real particles which we have found are brought, or 'sucked' into existence by gravitational potential and carry real information which builds the dynamic structure of the universe, while at the same 'time' giving rise to particulate structures in the universe that [are the] structures in the universe which shape the structure mirrored by gravitational potential. Gravitation has

[page 342]

the role, through photons, of bringing real dynamic structure oiut of the kinematic ideasd found in [Hilbert] space. Another word salad, but the reality is there to be extracted by the Born Rule that reflects the realization of real particles and at the same time manages the transition from kinematic ideals such as Hilbert space and differential geometry, as hinted on page cc21_zero-energy. Gravitational potential is both the creator of the transition from kinematic to real even though it itself carries no information but is shaped by the energy which it sees in real particles. By morning this will become a consistent statement of the real structure of the universe.

The breakthrough into clarity described by the Hilbert oscillator is coming. The Hilbert oscillator oscillates between knowledge and reality, that is between abstract kinematics and concrete dynamics. We model this with the mathematical community. The mathematicians are dynamic living element, cooking up theorems, the kinetic element. The inverse of the mathematicians are the engineers, abusing the finesse of mathematics to create bridges, rockets and computing machines.

[page 343]

Error free communication requires quantization. Corollary: A continuum carries no information. (Principle 7: Error free communication requires quantization (Shannon)

Hilbert spaces and differentiable manifolds are kinematic mathematical ideals. The photon and the Minkowski metric convert kinematic to dynamic, splitting the kinematic singularities into potential and kinetic energy, that is gravitation and quantum mechanics, the first break in the divine initial singularity. Quantum mechanics marks the singularity [eigenvalue?] to break its symmetry. Here is more or less the whole story, to be compressed into cosmic cosmogenesis, my tiny magnum opus.

The discussion of gravitation in cc22 has been fertile and appears to be coming to a close with a clear understanding of the potential provided by gravitation to provide the stationary states selected by quantum mechanics with the energy necessary for the transition from kinematic to dynamics, beginning with the first bosons and fermions and the origin of Minkowski space and the closed kinematic system described by Einstein's field theory. I will get my voice back when I have something to say and finally break out of the 60 years of silence that enveloped me when I stepped into the monastic cell of the Dominican order and began to learn abut the Holy Inquisition designed to kill the human spirit. Now I am killing that god and opening the door to real divine life discovered by Cantor, the path to paradise (Hilbert).

How do we relate vibrating strings and columns of air to the eigenvalues we find in Hilbert space? The note rendered by a string or a pipe is a fixed point determined by the length of the pipe or string (and other variables like tension mass, density, temperature etc). Cantor's paradise - Wikipedia

So the question is, what tunes the music of the spheres?

Hilbert is a kinetic model of the mind. Thoughts become reality when we put them into action which is the natural destination of a completed thought. We get into trouble if we act without working through to a fixed point, a clear and distinct [idea] or eigenvalue.

Dynamics is real communication, that is force or information because information is physical and the dynamics of politics, which can lead to war or peace, is false

[page 345]

or true information. This the theme of the conclusion, politics built on huan synmetry and truth rsther than false imperial theology. Information is a physical entity i.e. it is a dynamical entity in real life, but ity also has a kinematic representation in a computer where the dynamics is hidden by a clock The spirit is kinetic, like Hilbert ad mathematial ideal. The body is dynamnic, built on enbdued information. Embodiment (mass) is made possible by gratational potential. Equivalence principle - Wikipedia

A massless particle canot change, but a massive one, lke a neutrino can change. Fermions in general can be changed from spin up to spin down by the quantum of action (logic) caried in a masless particle (photon, gluon).

The speed of light is a property of Minkowski space built into the metric in order to maintain contact by superposition by enabling quantum states to be carried from point to point in spacetime by photons travelling along null geodesics outside spacetime.

A letter to Anastasiia: In the old days reality was divided into spirit and matter, heaven and earth, soul and

[page 346]

body. Since positivism infected science this distinction has been deprecated and it became fashionable to think of everything as matter. The idea seems to have entered politics through Marxism, which likes to see everything in terms of workers, producion and productivity. Positivism - Wikipedia, Marxism - Wikipedia

The move back to the old view may have been motivated by the conundrums of quantum mechanics, which see the observable physical world motivated by an invisible and [rather] unpredictable world that many associate with waves, very like the waves of sound or waves in the sea. The beauty of waves (and spiritual being in general) is that they can be superposed. Two or more different waves can exist at the same place and the same time as we can see clearly by throwing stones into a calm pond and watching the waves appear to pass through one another. The key idea in quantum mechanics is superposition of waves and the mathematical foundation of this idea is Hilbert space, which has a dimension corresponding to each frequency of waves.

The relationship between events in Hilbert space and events in the visible world is a perennial problem in quantum mechanics which has led to many wild and wonderful theories which we will mostly avoid. Instead we will think about the problem in terms of the old ideas about mind and matter since we have easy access to both

[page 347]

mind and matter through imagination on the one hand and our ability to act out our imaginative ideas in the natural world through the artistic media of drama and the industrial media of technology. One of our greatest dreams in the nineteenth century was a weapon which could obliterate all possible enemies in one blow. We found it nuclear weapons, the current foundation of international politics.

Lets not be sidetracked by war an let get back to theology. We use physical terms because we are trying to unite physics and theology. We will call spiritual things like mind and imagination kinetic and physical things like sex, work and sport dynamic. Unfortunately in common parlance, these term overlap (superpose) but we can make the distinction clearer by thinking of the difference between movies and real life. Early in its history the movie industry learnt many tricks to make real actors appear to do impossible things, like flying supermen. Scene by scene animation made it possible for cartoon characters to be blown apart and instantly reconstituted, and now computer generated imagery enables the creation of whole new realistic looking worlds in which all sorts of physically impossible events occur. Anything, in fact, that it is possible to imagine. Quantum mechanics describes the cinematic part of our world and provides the enormous space of possibilities (variations) from

[page 348]

which the real world draws its repertoire (which includes the tree of life and every structure in the universe).

I have identified the initial singularity from which the world is formed with the traditional Catholic model of God developed by Thomas Aquinas from Aristotle's unmoved mover. The first step in the differentiation of the deity, analogous to the procession of the Trinity in Catholic theology, is the emergence of quantum mechanics and gravitation, two sides of the same coin. This enabled the emergence of the spacetime in which we live and the elementary particles from which we are built. The space we live in, described by Einstein's theory of special relativity, is called Minkowski space. It is the dynamic space we live in. In the same way as physical reality puts limits on [0ur achievement of ] the objects of] our imagination, Minkowski space, although it is a creation of quantum realities, places limits on what can really happen, as we well know. Minkowski space - Wikipedia

The world in which we live is called the classical world. All the actual events in the classical world are processed in the kinetic worlds of quantum mechanics and gravitation. The kinetic world exists before the emergencve of the classical dynamic world of space and time so that all the events in this world are in contact ewith one asnother. They are not differentiated

[page 349]

by being set apart in space but by being formally different like the ancient theology of the angels which are differentiated by being different species, like vectors in Hilbert space. The structure of classical Minkowski space is described by its metric, and the interesting and peculiar feature of the Minkowski metric is that it enables the existence of null geodesics. The first massless particles, real photons , maintain quantum mechanical contact between points distant in space and time because the spacetime length of a null geodesic is zero. The photons of cosmic background radiation formed soon after the beginning of the universe have carried quantum states across fourteen billion light years of space and time, enabling us to observe conditions very early in the life of the universe. Aquinas, Summa I, 50, 4: Is every angel a different species?

If you have wings, why not fly?

So where do we stand? Feeling good but worried. Fllowing the Feyman priciple, all ideas, no maths [appropriate for a theologian?] but begining to feel thast the mathematical version of the Turing vacuum is within my grasp. So, I continue to develop it by the Feynman [textul] approach in cc23_quantum_field theory. This will help me devise an ending to cc22_gravitation which I am beginning to feel isd the apogee of my work, solving the cosmological constsnt problem and

[page 350]

showing that gravitation is unstructured per se, and unquantized, tking all its shape from the eenrgy distribution edstsblidhed by quantum theory in Minkowski /general covariant / sontinuous space. I write thingsd like this and they feel fantasdtic, but ae they getting closer to the truth. In a way I am beginning to feel thst I have really done something with my life rather than indulge in endless fruitless search.

Can I think that I have a radical solution to the Catholic Church at last?

Quanta of action are created by never destroyed, whicvh is why the entopy of the universe increases [?]. Each quantum if bigurcated into wual prtions of potential and kinetic energ, so that the universe remains lovally and globally zero energy. Entropy only counts the quanta, not the energ. Energy is conserved, enropy always increases, so the amout of energy per quantum of entropy has a tenency to decreasr, although gravitational compresion can creae a region of high energy quanta that contribute to the formstion of heavier elements.

Alex Kingsbury, The Man Who Leaked the Pentagon Papers Is Scared, Robert McNamara, . . . , once said. “The indefinite combination of human fallibility and nuclear weapons will destroy nations.” Why haven’t we seen nuclear weapons used since 1945? A. We have seen nuclear weapons used many times. And they’re being used right now by both sides in Ukraine. They’re being used as threats, just as a bank robber uses a gun, even if he doesn’t pull the trigger. You’re lucky if you can get your way in some part without pulling the trigger. Alex Lo , We are all living in the mess the Iraq invasion made, ' The US had enjoyed a very short unipolar moment. But rather than exploiting it to cement America’s total world dominance, the war in Iraq helped to end it decisively. It has created more problems than the US can address. Cassandra Jones Havard, What does ‘moral hazard’ mean? A scholar of financial regulation explains why it’s risky for the government to rescue banks, ' “Moral hazard” refers to the risks that someone or something becomes more inclined to take because they have reason to believe that an insurer will cover the costs of any damages. . . . The Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act, enacted after the 2008 financial crisis, was supposed to reduce moral hazard. One way it did that was by making it clear that accounts of more than US$250,000 aren’t insured by the FDIC unless the bank’s failure presents a systemic risk to the financial system. . . . Why did the government apparently throw out concerns about moral hazard when SVB failed? Any explanation would have to begin with what moral hazard can mean in the context of banking, which can summon the colloquial phrase “too big to fail".' back

Nothing worthwhile would be served, in my opinion, by Snowden voluntarily surrendering to U.S. authorities given the current state of the law. I hope that he finds a haven, as safe as possible from kidnapping or assassination by U.S. Special Operations forces, preferably where he can speak freely. But in our hour-long interview on the SVB debacle, Diamond stated that though Fed policy hurt, it wasn’t the main reason for the implosion. Nor did SVB suffer the classic “sound bank wrecked by a stampede” scenario. Instead, SVB deployed just about every bad policy on both the assets and liabilities sides of its balance sheet.
