Children are a form of natural intelligence, absorbing data from their environment snd making sense of it because the environment is nit entirely human fantasy but a reliable physical bedrock which may not be present in AI built on pirated texts from everywhere.

New premises:

Ruth Graham: 'Negative world' Christians with values independent of reality find that they do not fit in to the real world. They are postulating a regime of divine control which does not exist in an evolving world. In effect they want something that they cannot have because the religious ideology separates them from reality. Ruth Graham (2025_03_10): He Gave a Name to What Many Christians Feel

[page 45]

The tendency is political rather than theological because the theology has no scientific substance because their god is a home made myth.

Overton window: space of political discourse at any tine between the bounadaries of radical / acceptable / radical. The future of scientific theology means getting into the 'overton window' of a significant fraction of the sientific community, ie moving it into the political dimension of discussable science. Overton Window - Wikipedia

The Christian delusion may be claimed to be an element of religious freedom, but because it is not fact based is would be a dubious expansion of political power for a secular government to support it. What we are saying here is that the deliberations of political fora must be, in a society devoted to survival, consistent with physical reality like the segregation of traffic flows moving in different directions.

Linda Greenhouse and the US Supreme Court. In other words course must support scientific theology if they support any theology. Linda Greenhouse - Wikipedia

Lust for life has the task of extending natural theology into the political domain and at present a good approximation of the task in green policy.

Naked gravitation is my new god, Einstein gravitation without Minkowski space, Aquinas divinity without omniscience [which is the physical universe, the brain of god] but, let us say, real, substantial and divine, absolutely simple, an empty mind like Aristotle's unmoved mover (Bordt), omnipotent and so in effect a (static quantum) of action ready to be executed to create a quantum of energy, E = ω > 0. Michael Bordt (2011): Why Aristotle's God is not the Unmoved Mover

We define a person as an entity that can send and receive messages, the minimum being 1 bit or quantum of action and no maximum from a proposal of marriage to a war.

In L4L and elsewhere we work at the mathematical level of theorems rather than arithmetic and our basic idea is Brouwer's fixed point theorem and theorems of quantum mechanic ie linear algebra. We do this because theorems are logical and cognitive and so they are algebraic and lie deeper in the system than arithmetic which depends on identical

[page 47]

individuals identified by systems outside themselves whereas algebraic variables are personalities or particles able to take part in logical argument (syllogisms) in their own right in, for instance, a proof in which their identity remains unchanged from beginning to end.

Rosalie very lively today and we had a long conversation about death and her wish to die because of her failing hearing, sight and mobility. She heard me alright, got up to switch on the lights and moved well. We discusses the deaths of her parents and my parents.

I have now got a new much more congenial place to live, quite expensive however - my weekly rent has gone from 200 via 300 to 400. The main consolation is thea the gove is going to increase my pension by 3k a year. I am beginning to hope my book will sell well and allay my fear of poverty. One consequence of this is that I must settle into writing the next one, developing it in parallel with the website lust-for-life as I did with the book through two website, cognitive cosmology and cognitive cosmogenesis, which is about the universe becoming the physical mind of god analogous to our brains by using the intelligence of quantum mechanic to produce consistent stable forms and the bifurcation of lusty gravitation into potential and kinetic energy. Kinetic energy makes ideas into real physical particles in a way analogous to Aristotle's

[page 48]

hylomorphic treatment of Plato's forms, uniting them with matter (= energy) to create real substances, that is living entities executing quantum logic at a rate which determines their energy [and so their mass].

Feynman emphasizes the role of ideas in the development of physics: "A physical understanding is a completely unmathematical, imprecise, and inexact thing, but absolutely necessary for a physicist." I begin to see the role of linear quantum mechanics as the development and embodiment of the structures mathematicians call theorems, the first of which in the creation of the world seems to be Brouwer's non constructive fixed point theorem which we see creating the Hilbert space in the compact, convex continuous topological set we have called naked gravitation [now structureless gravitation]. Feynman, Leighton and Sands FLP II_02: Chapter 2: Differential Calculus of Vector Fields

Working by analogy with Augustine's model of the Trinity we imagine the formation if a countably infinite basis of a Hilbert space as effective substantial divinities within structureless gravitation and the superpositions of quantum mechanics extracting stable elementary particles out of this chaos.

Such a simple beginning to the world. How can we test this hypothesis. Do we need to find measurable numerical consequences? In a formal way, Planck's constant and the velocity of light do not appear until the bifurcation of formal structure into bosons and fermions produce the formal metric of Minkowski space, setting classical physics and measurable quantities in motion.

Maybe the next job is to revise the AJP essay and figure out a way to get it published, perhaps by getting

[page 459]

it communicated to the Journal by Antony Eagle

The spirituality of matter was established at the beginning of the 20th century in two stages. First Max Planck took the first step toward quantum mechanics by postulating that black body radiation was emitted in packets (later called photons) whose energy was related to their frequency by the equation E = ω where ℏ is a new universal constant, now called Planck's constant and ω is the angular frequency. ℏ is a measure of the quantum of action when it is observed in Minkowski space.

The second step, in 1905 was Einstein's special theory of relativity which united space and time in a single measure called the space-time interval. Einstein's ideas was built around a symmetry called covariance which is based on the idea that observation makes no difference to the physical behaviour of bodies moving in unaccelerated motion but what we see on a moving body is nevertheless different from what we see on a body stationary with respect to the observer, and these two measurements are connected by the Lorentz transformation [which takes into account the finite velocity of light as a carrier of the information in observation]. A few years later Hermann Minkowski formulated this idea in terms of the metric of four dimensional spacetime ημν value is the diagonal of a 4D matrix with the values 1, 1, 1, -1 in one convention and 1, -1, -1, -1 in another.

[page 50]

Einstein was able to show, using the fact that light carries energy and momentum in 4D Minkowski space that mass and energy are related by the formula E = mc2. Since E = ω we can conclude that mass is ω / c2, a function of frequency connected by Planck's constant and the velocity of light. Since the frequency here is the rate of execution of the quantum of action and the quantum if action is the unit of thought or information, mass is a measure of the rate of thought in an object, the rate of execution of life or the power of it spirituality. Long winded, but an irrefutable rebuttal of the ancient inconsistency or opposition between matter and spirit.

Moving: too many books!

In the old days there was a complete gulf between spirit and matter which ws the point in Gnosticism, Sophia - Wikipedia, Crotty 2016: The Gnostic background to the Gospel of John. Warm evening, fullish moon floating serenely on its geodesic in inertial motion probably like a photon

Naked gravitation should be structureless gravitation, no particles,no Minkowski space absolutely simple codeless communication. Better than naked, although not so evocative. Another step forward.

A country can only survive if all its people are approximately on the same page. The US is failing because it is split between physical reality and religious fantasy. What we need on lust for life is to emphasize the physical foundation of reality, which is basically the physics of mind made possible by quantum mechanics and special relativity. I am getting my first book down to a sentence and the second one too, your nation will survive if you all believe in physics.

Ie the physical world is the DNA that holds us together and the first instance of this DNA is the structureless gravitation that we used to call naked gravitation.

Writing is a bit like building with lego, you have to find little bits that fit together.

[page 52]

We can look upon the physical world as formally like a brain each object (neuron) receiving all sorts of symbols which ultimately make it move just as all the synaptic inputs in a brain make the axon fire.

The Seed of the Sacred Fig The Seed of the Sacred Fig - Wikipedia:

This essay explores the hypothesis that the universe is divine and its principal implication, that physics and theology have the same subject and should therefore be mutually consistent.

Draft abstract for cognitive cosmogenesis article [about the nth try]

'This article explores the hypothesis that the universe is divine. If this hypothesis is true to reality, it follows that physics and theology have the same subject. For the sake of argument we assume that theology comprises the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church and that the relevant content of physics is the standard model of elementary particles.

In their review of the Galileo Affair, Pope Saint John Paul II proposes a 'two truth theory' based on the traditional dichotomy between spirit and

[page 53]

matter.

This dichotomy was broken in 1900 at the beginning of the twentieth century. Max Planck discovered that energy is the rate of execution of the quantum of action, a universal constant which we interpret here as a logical operator, sumarized by the equation E = ℏω.

On 1905 Einstein established the special theory of relativity which implies that E = mc2. Together these discoveries show that mass is a measure of the rate of thought in a cognitive world.

Quantum field theory (QFT) has been subjected to exhaustive philosophical criticism and has reached an impasse in its ability to deal with gravitation. The greatest triumph of QFT is the introduction of thermonuclear weapons intyo global political discourse, but this is more of a technological than a scientific feat.

The union of physics and theology proposed here is a identification of the model of god proposed by Thomas Aquinas and the current theory of cosmogenesis that the universe began as an eternal, omnipotent, structureless in initial singularity which we model as structureless gravitation which creates structure through quantum mechanics to yield the current universe.

[page 54]

Sent the latest version of the cognitive cosmology article to Prof nn. The fundamental consequence of a divine universe is that all revelation comes through physical observations, with out natural senses [internal and external] or through instrumentation.

The fatal disease that is destroying America is not just Trump, it is the false god in which they trust, believing that they can live in a fantasy world which has nothing to do with reality. When I get settled I need to read Acemoglu and Robinson, The conservative as utterly wrong because what they are conserving are their own stupid fantasies that have very little to do with the actual world, a very well tested wilderness with answers to every question and a deep evolutionary ethic based on mazimizing entropy, giving maximum freedom to every entity, not empire by wilderness, maximum entropy gives maximum stability, cultural variety, individual differences in every direction from sexuality to employment.

What have I go to add? The physical input to theology is not just the Bible or any other old texts but every contemporary event, thought, feeling at all scales across all spaces and all physical reality in general. It is all divine

[page 55]

revelation and insofar as it is consistent with the physical world it is trustworthy. Sound may be trustworthy , but the meaning may not be so since all physical interactions are conversations and not all conversations pass the test love god, love your neighbour leading to life and reproduction. Those conversations that lead to pain and death may need to be avoided, but they are possible and our metaethical guide is that they be low energy high entropy non-violent.

The divine universe is the physical mind of god, This is the conclusion of cognitive cosmology. My prescription for a peaceful society is my body which is a community of about 20 trillion cells all working together for their mutual benefit, nurturing one another and doing their best to protect themselves from harm. This community works because they all share the same genome which is in effect a common ideology which enables them all to work together cooperatively.

We can expand this idea to imagine a peaceful planet. The common genome her is the physical world which stands open before our eyes and has over 14 billion years of evolution, become consistently working model of real life, a subtle combination of atmosphere, sea and soil shared by millions of independent forms of life

[page 56]

and countless individuals ranging from archaea to whales which life with and off one another, the whole system driven by thermonuclear energy from the sun. This divine system embraces both good and evil [from various points of view] because our own survival requires that we predate on the world around us but wee must regulate our predation so as not to destroy ourselves and our world and the foundation of this regulation must be a clear and precise knowledge of the physical boundaries of our lives. our lust for life must be rationally bounded by physics just as the boundaries of our bodies and the bodies of every other organism is bounded our genes.

Physics teaches us that the whole system is bound together by gravitation and gravitation combined with quantum mechanics defines a basic toolkit of fundamental particles which are the foundation of the whole system, communicating with one another to form atoms, molecules and structures of ever increasing complexity through stars, galaxies, planets and the complex structures that inhabit planets such as ours. This is my story, to become the sequel to cognitive cosmology .

In other words, physics broadly construed is the infallible source of divine guidance, fit to replace any number of popes and religious theocratic autocrats.

[page 57]

Does physics have an ego? Physics is constructed by evolution and it seems that evolution creates a conflict between ego and cooperation. How does this look to the electrons in an atom? They are bound by the quantum of action, the source of universal intelligence?

Crotty (2016), Robert, Jesus, His Mother, Her Sister Mary and Mary Magdalene: The Gnostic Background to the Gospel of John, David Lovell Publishing 2016 ' The Gospel of John has always been a difficult book to interpret. The differences between John and the Synoptics have always been a stumbling block for students. . . . This book takes up these problems. It demonstrates that the present text has followed a long and tortured journey from Jewish Gnosticism to a Christian Gnostic compendium, later extensively edited by Roman Christianity. The result is a surprising re-reading. The book throws light on a different Jesus to the canonical one (he is not human). . . The Roman Christians disagreed on all these interpretations and heavily edited the gospel in order to silence its Gnostic statement. This book will show how the gospel of John should be read at the present time to take account of this complex tradition history.'

David Brooks (2025_03_13), It Isn’t Just Trump. America’s Whole Reputation Is Shot., ' In that contest the Chinese have many advantages, but until recently America had the decisive one — we had more friends around the world. Unfortunately, over the last month and a half, America has smashed a lot of those relationships to smithereens. President Trump does not seem to notice or care that if you betray people, or jerk them around, they will revile you. Over the last few weeks, the Europeans have gone from shock to bewilderment to revulsion. This period was for them what 9/11 was for us — the stripping away of illusions, the exposure of an existential threat. The Europeans have realized that America, the nation they thought was their friend, is actually a rogue superpower. In Canada and Mexico you now win popularity by treating America as your foe. Over the next few years, I predict, Trump will cut a deal with China, doing to Taiwan some version of what he has already done to Ukraine — betray the little guy to suck up to the big guy. Nations across Asia will come to the same conclusion the Europeans have already reached: America is a Judas.[. . .] A global culture war. For years, the World Values Survey has shown that Western Europe and the blue parts of American are drifting toward a hyper-individualistic, postmodern culture that is farther and farther away from the more traditional communal cultures in other parts of the globe. That was bound eventually to produce political rifts. One of the reasons MAGA conservatives admire Putin is that they see him as an ally against their ultimate enemy — the ethnic studies program at Columbia. [?]' back

Fareed Zakaria (2025_03_14), Trump is launching America’s version of the Cultural Revolution, ' There is no area in which the United States’ global dominance is more total than higher education. With about 4 percent of the world’s population and 25 percent of its gross domestic product, America has 72 percent of the world’s 25 top universities by one ranking and 64 percent by another. But this crucial U.S. competitive advantage is being undermined by the Trump administration’s war on colleges. “We have to honestly and aggressively attack the universities in this country. … The professors are the enemy,” said JD Vance during a speech to the National Conservatism Conference in 2021. The administration has put those words into action. The most dramatic assault has been financial: a freezing or massive reduction in research grants and loans from the federal government. Some of these efforts are under court review, but the cumulative impact could be billions of dollars in cuts to basic research, much of it disrupting ongoing projects and programs.[. . .] The fury with which the Trump administration has turned on academia resembles nothing so much as the early days of the Cultural Revolution, when an increasingly paranoid Mao Zedong smashed China’s established universities, a madness that took generations to remedy. Meanwhile, in Beijing last week, the Chinese government announced its intention to massively increase its funding for research and technology so that it could lead the world in science in the 21st century. So, as America appears to be copying the worst aspects of China’s recent history, China is copying the best aspects of America’s, striving to take the edge as the United States goes through its own cultural revolution.' back

Feynman, Leighton and Sands FLP II_02, Chapter 2: Differential Calculus of Vector Fields, ' Ideas such as the field lines, capacitance, resistance, and inductance are, for such purposes, very useful. So we will spend much of our time analyzing them. In this way we will get a feel as to what should happen in different electromagnetic situations. On the other hand, none of the heuristic models, such as field lines, is really adequate and accurate for all situations. There is only one precise way of presenting the laws, and that is by means of differential equations. They have the advantage of being fundamental and, so far as we know, precise. If you have learned the differential equations you can always go back to them. There is nothing to unlearn.' back

Gnosticism - Wikipedia, Gnosticism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, ' Gnosticism (from Ancient Greek: γνωστικός gnōstikós, "having knowledge") is a collection of ancient religious ideas and systems which originated in the first century AD among early Christian and Jewish sects. These various groups emphasised personal spiritual knowledge (gnosis) over orthodox teachings, traditions, and ecclesiastical authority. Gnostic cosmogony generally presents a distinction between a supreme, hidden God and a blind, malevolent demiurge responsible for creating the material universe. Viewing this material existence as flawed or evil, Gnostics considered the principal element of salvation to be direct knowledge of the supreme divinity in the form of mystical or esoteric insight. Many Gnostic texts deal not in concepts of sin and repentance, but with illusion and enlightenment.' back

Michael Bordt (2011), Why Aristotle's God is not the Unmoved Mover, ' The aim of this essay is to show that the view—popular among certain philosophers and theologians—that Aristotle’s God is the unmoved mover is incorrect, or at least leads to serious misunderstanding. In a nutshell: among other things, the project of the twelfth book of the Metaphysics is to determine what the first ousia is. This first ousia is not identified with God in so far as it is an unmoved mover, but in so far as it is the actual activity (energeia) of thinking. To put matters differently, the actual activity of the first ousia does not consist in moving anything. Its activity rather consists in the exercise of reason, in thinking. Since, however, thinking is without qualification the best activity, and since God is that being who just does engage in the best activity, the first ousia, in so far as it is the same as the activity of thinking, must be God. Thus we perhaps expect that, at the summit of ontology, God himself will be the object of this first philosophy. Metaphysics Λ meets such an expectation only in a very limited way. The limitation is the following: that which, so to speak, stands at the summit of metaphysics is not God, but the activity of reason. While this activity is identified with God, it is not so identified directly or immediately, but only as mediated by way of the conception of the best possible life. The twelfth book of the Metaphysics thus provides to an even lesser extent than is usually assumed the outlines of a theology. By way of recompense, however, Aristotle offers us a truly breathtaking metaphysics.' back

Modern American history, he argues, can be divided into three epochs when it comes to the status of Christianity. In “positive world,” between 1964 and 1994, being a Christian in America generally enhanced one’s social status. It was a good thing to be known as a churchgoer, and “Christian moral norms” were the basic norms of the broader American culture. Then, in “neutral world,” which lasted roughly until 2014 — Mr. Renn acknowledges the dates are imprecise — Christianity no longer had a privileged status, but it was seen as one of many valid options in a pluralist public square. About a decade ago, around the time that the Supreme Court’s ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges made same-sex marriage legal nationwide, Mr. Renn says the United States became “negative world." Being a Christian, especially in high-status domains, is a social negative, he argues, and holding to traditional Christian moral views, particularly related to sex and gender, is seen as “a threat to the public good and new public moral order.” Mr. Renn loves city life, and has lived in Manhattan, Chicago and Indianapolis. However, the molecular details of this process remain unclear. Here, we present high-resolution (up to 2.8 angstrom) cryo–electron microscopy structures of T. brucei flagellar doublet microtubules (DMTs). Integrated modeling identified 154 different axonemal proteins inside and outside the DMT and, together with genetic and proteomic interrogation, revealed conserved and trypanosome-specific foundations of flagellum assembly and motility. We captured axonemal dynein motors in their pre–power stroke state. Comparing atomic models between pre– and post–power strokes defined how dynein structural changes drive sliding of adjacent DMTs during flagellar beating. This study illuminates structural dynamics underlying flagellar motility and identifies pathogen-specific proteins to consider for therapeutic interventions targeting neglected diseases. back
